12017-12-07 18:25:00 UTCburtlang Hello, I am updating turn restrictions, and I am wondering where you saw the sign for a no U-Turn restriction, at the intersection of St. John Rd and Roland Ave. At this time I am going to delete the restriction because there is no signage.
22017-12-07 19:09:04 UTCbhousel Thanks for fixing @burtlang - it was probably this photo: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=0PWc-fZ6m38H0bte4rIdBg&focus=photo&lat=39.354455&lng=-76.634362&z=17&x=0.5041506692607088&y=0.5187772724109039&zoom=0

There is a turn restriction at Roland and Beechdale, but...

12017-10-23 21:12:48 UTCburtlang Hello I am writing you asking why you have changed this road from primary to trunk, removed the name Calle 26, and also added the alt_name to the actual name. Can you please revert the you changes made?

32017-10-26 02:26:54 UTCSirWeigel In this Wikia (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Guide_for_mapping_in_Colombia) -you shared it with me- says that Avenida El Dorado IS a trunk road. So, the Wikia is right or not?

22017-10-26 02:24:41 UTCSirWeigel Ok
12017-10-23 21:15:29 UTCburtlang When making particular changes to roads, such as adding the real name/alt_name why not continue your edits to make the entire road consistent?
12017-10-06 08:30:02 UTCHarald Hartmann Hello alejandra-otalora. At
http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/529302990
you have tagged
`serientrega=servientrega`.
What is it for? And keep in mind: keys should be in english ;-)
22017-10-17 22:16:46 UTCburtlang Nice Edits, Try and make sure to square your buildings and add a street address to POIs.
12017-10-10 15:51:40 UTCburtlang Do you think moving addr:street to short_name is good alliterative? The tag would read (short_name: AK 9). This will free up addr:street
22017-10-11 05:18:24 UTCAngocA This is a building, and it should contain an address. A short_name like AK 9 is the contraction of Avenida Carrera 9, and it should be written complete as it in the Address street. Abbreviations like that are not a good thing for OSM, because this is like data redundancy.
32017-10-11 14:49:39 UTCburtlang I agree with not adding this to a building. But say for street names. The short_name is actually used and appears that way (abbreviated) on the street signs throughout the city. Where do you recommend that information should go?
12017-10-09 14:48:53 UTCburtlang Do you think moving addr:street to short_name is good alliterative? The tag would read (short_name: AK 9). This will free up addr:street for residential addresses.
22017-10-09 17:37:07 UTCcarciofo No, for two reasons: there are several common abbreviation schemas in use at this locale with all being equally valid possibilities. Secondly, both AK and K would be valid short names for this road within that particular abbreviation schema. Short name is not for things like Avenue or Boulevard; a r...
32017-10-09 23:16:56 UTCburtlang I agree with NOT using addr:street. Although short_name is actually used and appears that way (abbreviated) on the street signs throughout the city. Where do you recommend that information should go? It should not just be deleted, the way you deleted it in this change set.
42017-10-15 09:44:31 UTCcarciofo I've never come across signs with that abbreviation that I can remember, but no one is stopping you from using short_name for this. Just make sure to document that it is signed that way by adding a note tag. I don't necessarily agree that it's a good idea for the reasons explained above, and someone...
52017-10-28 12:05:54 UTCcarciofo Actually, on second thought, short_name should definitely *not* be used for this. It is clearly stated in the Wiki: "should be a recognizable, commonly used short version of the name, not a nick name (use alt_name for that) and _not an abbreviation_" https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key...
12017-07-13 22:39:57 UTCburtlang Where do you find your reference data?
22017-07-19 12:26:50 UTCFvGordon Somebody had merged way 5051252 which is member of the boundary relation with a continuing way (way 483723266 - now deleted by him) so that the outer ring got a stub. I have split this way again and removed the stub way (now way 506026216) from the relation to get a closed outer ring as it was befor...
32017-07-19 18:58:17 UTCburtlang I understand now. It makes much more sense to have the boundary closed than one end open.
If you have a second take a look at some of these maps. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Beirut/Street_names
12017-07-07 20:04:05 UTCburtlang I think a good way to draw housing and building polygons is by doing them individually and not connecting the nodes. What are your thoughts?

12016-12-20 15:41:11 UTCburtlang Hello I was wondering what the purpose of circuito 1 is? is it a bike path, way around town, or what? Thanks

12016-12-06 19:17:43 UTCburtlang WEHRE DID YOU SEE ASPHALT????? ://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?changeset=44193133#map=19/-34.87915/-56.10072
I came across a surface type of yours, that states the surface is asphalt, when it is clearly concrete.
22016-12-06 20:15:58 UTCmuralito This changeset is 3 years old and set the max speed of all streets in the city.

I see no relation with the surface tag. What did you mean?
12016-12-06 03:11:08 UTCmuralito DO NOT CONVERT NODES TO WAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE TRASHING THE MAP, ADDING BAD DATA, DESTROYING HISTORY OF EXISTING DATA AND NOT IMPROVING PRECISION

ALSO YOUR SOURCE IS NOT WHAT YOU DECLARE. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MAP WHAT YOU ARE MAPPING USING THEM. DECLARE THE REAL SOURCE YOU ARE USING.
22016-12-06 03:13:09 UTCmuralito WHRE THE FCK DO YOU SEE ASPHALT IN https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/78105016 ?
REDOUBLE OR TRIPLE CHECK YOUR SOURCE!!!

PLEASE DO NOT ADD BAAAAAADDDDD DATA. ITS PREFERRED TO NOT HAVE DATA THAN TO HAVE IT WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
32016-12-06 03:52:19 UTCmuralito AND WEHRE DID YOU SEE ASPHALT IN https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/305316206

?????????????????????

SOURCE?????????
42016-12-06 17:56:29 UTCburtlang Prior to me entering a surface type, there was no other surface type present. Thank you for your observation. But what I see on my ground survey on that particular road is asphalt.
52016-12-06 18:15:42 UTCmuralito It's prefered to have no surface tagged, than have the wrong surface tagged. The first is an omission, the last is an error.

If you see asphalt, then your ground survey is wrong or low quality! You should stop making changes based on this survey, to first check the quality of the survey and try t...
62016-12-06 18:26:25 UTCburtlang I will make sure what I see in my survey is correct, and ask others for there opinions as well if it is a close call. Thank you for double checking my data. Is there anything else that you have noticed?
72016-12-08 17:01:54 UTCmuralito No, I hadn't check all changesets.
I just raise a warning flag to try to improve the changes based on this KG 2016 survey.
12016-12-06 03:16:42 UTCmuralito STOP DELETING NODES OF FUEL STATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE TRASHING THE MAP!!!!!!!!!
22016-12-06 17:54:14 UTCburtlang Thank you, I will no longer continue to remove nodes on gas stations.
