Hi @erkinalp, what should be changed here now that Bulgaria has entered the Schengen zone?

The border structure will be removed once full integration is completed, and the road will become a contiguous motorway

But the border structure has not been removed so far, right? And we don't know for sure that it will be ever removed. Croatia entered the Schengen area on January 1, 2023, but the structure on its border with Slovenia is still here after 2+ years. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?focus=photo&pKey=1225663015881707 Slovenia entered the Schengen area 13 years ago, but most of the infrastructure is still there (minus the booths and gates): https://www.mapillary.com/app/?focus=photo&pKey=1371405890635151 I hope we can agree not to keep the notes for future and uncertain changes on the ground.

Small correction: Slovenia entered Schengen area 17+ years ago (December 21, 2007).

There is still border control on the BG-RO border. At least until 30.06.2025.

It's unclear what you mean by "schengen update". The cars still take the same route to cross the border. This road is strictly to connect the old border crossing with the local police station.

It's about this: "On 1 January, Romania and Bulgaria became full members of the Schengen Area after the checks on persons at the internal land borders were lifted." https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/news/bulgaria-and-romania-join-schengen-area-2025-01-03_en But in fact, the infra is most probably still there. My suggestion is: close the rest of the "Schengen update" notes and open new ones only when there is a change on the ground. See my comments here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/4712727
