In Great Ayton, the route on the Eurovelo site follows Bridge St and Easby Lane, rather than going straight along the river through Little Ayton, as the 165 does. [1] The route changed on the official website around April 2024, but what was shown between 2019-2024 is different again. [2] However there's no UK National Cycle Route along the coast between Staithes and Whitby, so that was probably an error. Most of EV12 in UK is not signed as EV12 so it's not possible to survey in the field.
