This burger joint looks like it was misplaced, as there was a burger/ice cream place only a little bit West of here. Was it the one torn down or was there another one by the produce stand?

It is the burger ice cream joint that was torn down and yes it is misplaced, it was just west of E Quillytown Rd. I know the place was owned by Lays, but I don't know the exact name. The building is gone now.

This is one of several buildings that was condemned for widening of US 40. A jughandle is being built at this spot. When it opens, I will update the area and close this note.

The Sand Paper reports that Circle Drive is closed to pedestrians and bicyclists but doesn't actually explain or photograph the new walkway/sidewalk, which is seemingly conflated with the existing sidewalk on the north side of the causeway. https://www.thesandpaper.net/articles/safety-drives-closure-of-pedestrian-access-on-cedar-bonnet-island/

I've scoured the internet far and wide. Do you have any other sources besides this one article behind a paywall? Anything from the police or township?

Did you get a chance to edit as you mentioned?

Have you had a chance to update and edit the map? Or since no response has been received, should note just be closed out due to no response and assumption that it ahs been resolved?

I'm happy to keep it open so it's on all our radars. I myself will be there soon and will be sure to check it out. But I also want to leave space for crystalwalrein to check it out and weigh in. And I appreciate the time and effort both of you have taken in this area, including the causeway construction note to the southeast!

There is now a concrete path under the causeway at the eastern end of the island to allow for pedestrian and bicycle access to the causeway's sidepath. Closing this note. Thanks all!

The Atlantic City Expressway began all-electronic tolling on 4 January 2026, and construction has begun to remove the tollbooths. This note will remain here until the tollbooth has been removed, at which point the map should be updated.
