Here begins a stretch of trail which is "secured by ropes" in the sense that you'll likely use the ropes to pull yourself up (i.e. not your entire weight is on the rope, but it's not only for balance either). Is that still sac_scale=demanding_mountain_hiking?
2~ 7 months agocommentedChristian Perrier
♦529
If this is the only section of the trail that is assisted, I would recommend splitting the way and isolating the section with ropes to tag it as T3 (demanding_mountain_hiking) and degrade the rest of the path to T2 (mountain_hiking) as I very much suspect that it is steep but not really more difficult than any other mountain trail. Optionnally, for the section with ropes, you can tag it with "safety_rope=yes"

I had the safety_rope tag on the section but I didn't degrade the rest of the path.

The current map has one big area of marsh. Compared to the area slightly northwest, that is a rather low level of detail. Satellite imagery shows a lot of water ways or similar segmentation in this big marsh area.

Adding some details from aerial imagery, even it this part has not much details.

A crossing path exists at the place of the note, presumably east<->west. On satellite, it looks like it extends quite some way in those directions, but it's hard to say due to the foliage.

We need to get back out there. Don't hesitate to take photos and post them on Panoramax from time to time. Then you can let me know so I can make the necessary changes.

A way extends from the road pretty exactly north and allows access to the marshes. It's visible on satellite imagery. I can't say where it ends from satellite alone, so it'd need a survey.

Only way to get more details is probably to do a survey. IIRC most of those were just pedestrian trails without any further planning or markings.
