♦18,864		@9_tab i'm closing it so there is a reaction and no he didn't respond with the exact location where he sees the wrong information. @Meyer Tom bitte angeben wo genau du diese falschen Informationen siehst... wenn du nur etwas von Flächen und "erscheinen" redest ist unklar wo du es genau siehst. Primär ist openstreetmap eine Kartendatenplattform und da gibt es viele verschiedene Ansichten und Programme welche die Daten weiterverarbeiten...

♦358		@Piagno I don't think you should close notes merely if you don't want to solve it yourself or to provoke user's reactions. We wouldn't want to be seen as some helpdesk where staff closes tickets to fulfill some quota. approach #2 can be done by any users with some time at hand.

So this is either a systematic issue of how we tag things in switzerland or an issue of nominatim

♦358		I explained to you where it's visible. If you just close notes you don't understand, we wont move ahead. Your Thun sample is slightly different. If you open a note there we can try to improve it. The general issue is that these nodes have a different level of granularity than the rest of our Map and Nominatim makes some assumptions. As any search it involves some approximation.

♦358		In notes, we only fix issues mappers care about for a given location. That similar features aren't fully mapped elsewhere wont matter. This is why we end up with countless "missing defibrillator" notes. The advantage of this specific one is that it's actionable, contrary to the one in Villmergen (that was improved). The Thun one is just bad data.

♦2,655		Hallo Tom Ich kann das Problem gerade nicht nachvollziehen und finde auch keine offensichtlichen Fehler in den Daten. Kannst du es noch etwas genauer beschreiben? Bei welcher Anwendung/Kartenanzeige? In welcher Zoomstufe? Das macht die Suche nach der Ursache einfacher. Merci.

♦358		Maybe Nominatim's search result, includes that. The details for one entry https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/ui/details.html?osmtype=W&osmid=964423631 shows that under place:village. I have seen something similar happen elsewhere.

♦358		Depending on your use, you might just want to ignore it. For my case, I concluded I'd should eventually draw borders (but this isn't always possible or easy). Another approach could be to define missing nodes for villages that would be closer, but Nominatim might just list all of them. I don't think there is a way to define an approximate range for the node.

♦2,655		So weit ich es verstehe ist Hilfikon immer noch ein eigenes Dorf (mit eigener Postleitzahl) aber seit 2009 Teil der Gemeinde Villmergen. Umriss von Hilfikon https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/4857675 Knoten für das Dorf mit is_in https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/240033806 Gemeindegrenze Villmergen https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1684452 Aber dein ursprüngliches Problem sehe ich irgendwie immer noch nicht. Im "alten" Villmergen wird mir nirgends Hilfikon angezeigt.

♦2,655		Das Einzige was ich bis jetzt feststellen konnte ist dass es wohl keinen Knoten für das Dorf Villmergen gibt, aber den braucht es wahrscheinlich auch nicht da es ja die Gemeindegrenze gibt. Aber da haben andere User definitiv mehr Ahnung als ich.
