At one time it was owned/controlled by the power company, I think, but too many outsiders were gaining access to the two subdivisions without permission, hence the padlocked gate. That road may once have been paved and since travelled over, but not sure. | |

I know the gate was installed to restrict ATV and other vehicle access and there has been conversations between to two neighborhoods on each side about access- vehicle and pedestrian- for emergencies. I do not believe that there is pedestrian access through that gate, but there may be a way to slip through. That's likely not what you meant, though. Not a hiking trail. | |
