♦215		This was meant as a note for further on-site mapping. Mapping from aerial photography can only help if it is actually verified on the ground by the person who maps, because that photography can be outdated and often is unclear to interpret. Also, I did not record coordinate tracks. Note is left open until on-the-ground mapping happens :-).

♦36		The land belongs to the state capital Dresden. Parcels are leased for weekend properties. I know the area, I live nearby. It may be possible to get through there, but it is not a path in that sense. I am not in favor of mapping every shortcut, especially since it offers no added value there and may disturb the tenants. This path is not included on any local hiking map, and I am sure that passage is undesirable. I suggest closing this issue.

♦215		Ahoj @arakel, your comment is understandable, but against the "official" way how OSM should work. You can read more about that at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Why_we_won%27t_delete_roads_on_private_property * Mapping "what is on the ground", * if something is restricted, add corresponding tags like`access=private` or `informal=yes`. Since this is a "forest" and public land ("state capital Dresden"), there even should exist official right of access. As I understand the general way how OSM works, this issue should _not_ be closed because of your reasoning. Regards and thanks for the contribution!

♦36		Hi osmidal, Thank you for the link, but I still don't see the value in mapping this shortcut. Just because an area belongs to the city doesn't automatically make it public. I know of an orchard owned by the city that is expressly off-limits to the public. However, I wonder why you didn't record the path yourself if it's important to you. Have you walked it? There is no visible access from Dorotheenstraße. What do you mean by “through the small forest”? Is there only one path that leads to a weekend property, or is there a path that runs through the area at a 90° angle to the “Schwarzer Weg”?

♦215		There are paths that branch of from "Schwarzer Weg" and join back to it. I did not map because I did not have the equipment to do so when I was there. It is not "important" to me, but I like completeness. About the fundamental question of "weather to map stuff that is not meant for access" I do not want to discuss it here, but please open a topic in the forum if you want. There have been lots of discussions about that already. Regards!

♦36		My bad, nothing has been leased there for a few years. In fact, the site is included in the development plan (Bebauungsplan). So far, however, local residents have been able to prevent development. I just uploaded a GPX track, so you could map out the path. https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/arakel/traces/12040168 By the way, I didn't want to argue.

♦3,488		Auf der anderen Seite ist im Luftbild ein Schaltschrank und zwei Schächte erkennbar, die zur Lagerung des Abwassers dienen könnten. Es kann sich aber auch um eine Druckerhöhungsanlage fürs Trinkwasser handeln, oder was völlig anderes sein.

♦36		In der Tat gibt es dort zwei Schacht- oder Tankabdeckungen und einen Schaltschrank. Vermutlich stehen diese im Zusammenhang mit dem Abwasserpumpwerk. Die Funktion lässt sich vor Ort jedoch nicht ergründen. Insofern wird es schwer diesen "ungelösten Hinweis" zu beheben. Wirst du dich um die Bearbeitung kümmern?

♦3,488		Wenn ich mal vorbei komme, versuche ich natürlich meine notes zu lösen. Demnächst bin ich zwar mal Luftlinie einige Meter daneben, aber auf der falschen Elbseite. Ich habe zwar die Hoffnung dort mal selber nachzusehen, aber ob ich das in absehbarer Zeit schaffe, weiß ich leider nicht.
