♦3,427		Just north of here (by the cliff/crag) there is a big chunk of actual fucoidal quartzite. I wonder if this feature is misplaced in OSM, or if perhaps there is an even more prominent chunk across the river here? Check access on bridge.

♦18		The cliff/crag to the north is a popular climbing area called Fucoidal Quartzite (almost always abbreviated to Fucoidal in conversation). In my interactions with federal land agency maps of recreational resources, climbing sites tend to be... a little misplaced. I strongly suspect that this feature is a less accurate duplicate of the labeled cliff you added across the road later.

♦18		It's been a few years since I've been up this road, but I think I remember a fjord here. As of 2022, this road is noteworthily rough and unimproved compared to others in the area, and most daily drivers won't get up past the quarry-- it's a tougher ride on an adventure bike even than most routes nearby. All that to say-- it would not be shocking if there was not in fact an effective culvert here.

42092091~ 2 years agoopenedDean EdmontonSalt Valley road can easily be traversed by most sedans and any SUV, as long as it is dry. No 4x4 required when dry and no issues with clearance. It is basically a good gravel road. Easy to follow it out as an alternate exit as it comes out on highway 191 just north of Moab. You can also follow it further north to the interstate.
