1~ 8 days agoopenedFolderolThis is now fenced off both sides. There was NO advance warning notices about any of these changes or the building work. I walk the area at least once every week.

1~ 8 days agoopenedFolderolThere used to be a public footpath from here to North Dane Way where that dog-leg is by the electric pylon. No information at the time it was blocked off about its future status :(

1~ 8 days agoopenedFolderolThis appears to be a newly created path, fenced on both sides (presumably to replace one that has been closed.

1~ 25 days agoopenedFolderolSomewhere round here there should be the ruins of Towyfeccan farm (not sure about the spelling). The last time I saw it was in the early 1960s. The roof was still on, but likely to collapse fairly soon. Some of the upstairs floors had already gone.

Not seeing it on any imagery or on OS 1:25k, i think this is gone Spelling might be Towy-fechan or something like that? Tywi-fychan?
3~ 8 days agocommentedFolderolShame. Might have been taken down by the forestry people - none of that existed when we were holidaying there.

34713721~ 3 years agoopenedFolderolPinesfield Lane starts here. There is a road sign at this point. Went there 7/12/2022
2~ 1 year agocommentedFolderolWas there recently. If I go there again, I'll take a photo showing Church Lane to the left and Pinesfield lane to the right. Where can i post this as proof?
3~ 2 months agocommentedamosharper
♦241
Thanks, modified - makes sense that Church Lane ends at the church, and OS OpenData doesn't contradict this. Before I close, could you please clarify - does the lane continuing north to the Church count as a continuation of Church Lane, per the sign?
4~ 2 months agocommentedFolderolYes it does.
5~ 2 months agocommentedFolderolThere are two signs side by side at the T junction. The one to the North clearly says Church Lane, and the one to the South says Pinesfield Lane

Thanks - have updated the map for this, and added the private access track opposite and improved/extended footpath and building mapping in the immediate vicininty.

1~ 9 months agoopenedFolderolFour houses from her down to Albert road are much newer than all the others in the street. They also have strange numbering. At this point is number one, and number four is the corner house. The numbers run the opposite way to all the rest (in their nineties here)

Trenches being filled back in. Field is earmarked for housing, but this is the last phase of the project so as such the landuse is not yet changing. This is in my main mapping area so as soon as there are any updates to landuse i will update.

1~ 10 months agoopenedFolderolThis is not a continuous flight of steps. From Beacon Rd. there is a ramp up about 60M before the first steps. There are then 48 short flights 3-4 steps at first, then in 5s. The flights are about 6M apart. Near the very end thre is another ramp of about 20M, Finally there are 4 well spaced steps. Most of this is clearly visible on google maps. Here: https://earth.google.com/web/@51.37146836,0.54980541,57.40463307a,132.06297124d,35y,0h,0t,0r/data=CgRCAggBQgIIAEoNCP___________wEQAA

unfortunatly google maps is not a valid source of data for OSM. and the satalite resources we have do not show enough detail to map this, therefor this will need a ground survey

Is this bus stop in the correct location? This is the slip road from the M20 Junction onto the A20.

3~ 10 months agocommentedFolderolI've traveled there frequently over the last 20 years - never seen a bus stop there, and it would be a crazy place to put one!

1~ 11 months agoopenedFolderolThis is in extremely poor condition and there is a deep, narrow erosion gully down to bare chalk at the steepest part of the track. In wet weather it is so slippery it's impossible to walk.

is this Stockbury Village Hall ?
2~ 1 year agocommentedFolderolWas there today. Yes it is, it's also known as the Memorial Hall Can someone who know how, write it in properly - meanwhile I'll leave this note open.

Hi Folderol, it depends what the signed name of the building is. Are you able to confirm if "Stockbury Village Hall" is what's on the building? If so the other tags would be: amenity=community_centre community_centre=village_hall loc_name=Memorial Hall
4~ 1 year agocommentedFolderolI'll double check when I'm there this Thursday.
5~ 11 months agocommentedFolderolChecked a while ago. Right across the front of the build there is a big sign: "Stockbury Village Hall" So I guess that settles it :)
