Why is this stretch of the A453 marked as foot=yes when adjacent sections are not so marked? There is no footway, and I suspect walking would be strongly discouraged. Unless there's an historical "right of way" along this section alone? Many thanks

Was added as part of changeset 118946636 . https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/118946636#map=17/52.923257/-1.166074&layers=N As this isn't a motorway (and there's no signage explicitly prohibiting it) then foot=yet is technically correct "Roads and other objects where the public has a legally-enshrined right for access on foot." if _very_ ill advised here! Approach signage encourages (but does not require) pedestrians to use the subways on the northern side.

Thank you. Is it not incongruous for this section to be marked foot=yes when other adjacent sections are not so marked? Especially when this section is also marked sidewalk=no. I wonder why this section alone was selected to have such tags added. Many thanks

I agree. It appears to have been added as a part of a Street Complete quest that has since been disabled in the UK (as it was resulting in foot=no being incorrectly added). https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/poll-should-streetcomplete-disable-the-are-pedestrians-forbidden-to-walk-on-this-road-without-sidewalk-here-quest-in-the-uk/118387/15 I'd be inclined to delete the foot=yes (but not add a foot=no) - this would respect the legal view of this tag & the UK's odd rules, whilst allowing routing engines to make a sensible decision based on the trunk road status (i.e. no walking routes are going to take you down it unless you start right on it - e.g. after a breakdown); and also leave it aligned with adjacent sections of road.

Thank you. I have made the change suggested, and requested a review.
