Men (KNMI) heeft deze toen gedemonteerd, nagekeken en kwam tot de conclusie dat deze toch nauwkeurig was. Het KNMI heeft dit nooit geratificeerd en de eer aan Vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen met 40,7 graden gegeven. Charlotte Fijnaut heeft steken laten vallen want de sensoren bleken goed te zijn. Diept triest door het KNMI.
