♦421		I see references on the internet to the tunnel having the name "Easter Hailes Gate Tunnel" - and on OSM the path in the tunnel has this name. If you're looking at a direction sign I'd caution that those making up these signs don't generally use any different information to what we'd use... so they shouldn't be seen as adding much authority. It may even be that names on a new sign are put on it because of what's already recorded on OSM... a circular process. Water of Leith Walkway is indeed a relation: https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/31454

♦887		Hello! It's not a direction sign, it's a black metal sign of the type used for path names. I'll take a photo next time I get a chance. As for the naming, I meant that the name of the Walkway is currently tagged on the ways themselves (e.g. https://osm.org/way/23126655) in addition to the relation. If this path is indeed called "Easter Hailes Gate", then I would suggest that the ways should bear that name only, and the walkway name should be on the route relation only.

The list of public roads in Edinburgh [1] shows 4 entries for Easter Hailes Gate referring to the cycle route, although this not very conclusive as it refers to 'from opposite Newmills Road, Balerno' and 1 Lanark Road which is the old car showroom by the canal aqueduct ... more research needed https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/directory/search?directoryID=10231&showInMap=&keywords=easter+hailes+gate&search=Search

The building shape is also wrong as there is an extension to the east which overlaps the path. I will try to survey this when I next get a chance.
