In some of the photos, the finish just above the wall is much more like painted metal than the mottle effect that wood would have. It is unusual in that it isn't on the public road. However, for the last two hours, I was convinced it was a timber pole that was wearing more creosote than an entire bus load of south Dublin teenage girls world wear fake tan.
