This is Rail crossing Brantham High Bridge. Suffolk CC has temporarily closed after Network Rail said it was unsafe. Closed in 2016 and remains "temporarily" closed today. Network Rails application to permanently close rejected at Public Enquiry in November 2020 as no suitable alternative could be agreed upon so remains a PROW closed by TRO on public safety grounds. I checked the Public Rights of Way for the Stutton Parish and the mapping does look correct. The path south of here, along the coast, is a Public Right of Way. The track traveling North of your note is a private track

This gate may need access permissions. OsmAnd sent me up the cul-de-sac to the west then told me to turn right at the north end to get to the car park up this service road (had Mapillary on screen so was using the spoken directions).

Hi. I'll remove the short section across the line for now. Web searching suggests that the crossing has been "temporarily" closed since 2006 and was part of Network Rails proposed closures which faced objections (for example the Ramblers Association proposed a bridge at this location, Abbotts Crossing, rather than the proposed "unreasonable" diversion). The public enquiry ended in February 2019 but I have seen no footpath extinguishment orders in the local paper since then for any paths in this area, and can't find anything more recent than the public enquiry to say which crossings have officially been permanently closed.

From the report to the Secretary of State - Close Crossing to all users and extinguish PR over the crossing, together with a section of FP EX/158/27 (Chapel Croft) to the north-west of the railway. FP 27 to be diverted south on a newly created 2m wide unsurfaced footpath. Users would then be diverted northeast along a newly created 2m wide unsurfaced footpath before joining Little Bromley Road to cross the railway at the associated road bridge. Users would continue east along Little Bromley Road before heading south along a new 2m wide unsurfaced cross-field footpath which would provide access to the residual lengths of FPs EX/158/27 and EX/158/42. Users approaching the crossing from FP EX/158/42 (from Frating RD) would be diverted west along FP EX/158/49 and then along the footway of Station Road to the full barrier CCTV crossing. Having crossed the railway, users would then continue along the footway to the centre of Ardleigh. This will need a survye as some FPs in this area are missing.

Visited today and new footpaths not created. Crossing appears to be closed from a distance, unfortunately field has been planted so little access but also indicates not walked. No new provision at little Bromley Road. Essex PROW is as mapped here so official diversions not yet implemented.
