The RAVeL L141 is closed for important road work here. Big barriers, no way to pass. Closed at Rue du Pont and closed at Rue de Charleroi. I placed two pins at each place where there is a barrier. It's been this way for 3 weeks now. Looks like it's going to take a while. A diversion has been put in place, with diversion signs indicating the way to follow. When at Rue du Pont, the diversion goes like this: - Go down Rue du Pont until Rue Emile Hecq - Turn left onto Rue Emile Hecq - Go through Place Comte Cornet - Turn left to follow the street Rue Joseph Milhoux until you reach Grand Route - Turn left onto Grand Route then Rue de Ways straight ahead - Turn left onto Rue de France - Follow Rue de France until Rue de Charleroi - At some point, Rue de Charleroi leads back to the RAVeL 141 When at Rue de Charleroi, the diversion goes the same but reversed – except the diversion goes through Rue Jean Mintens to reach Rue de Ways, instead of Rue de France (one way street). Not sure how to edit it to create a diversion. I'd rather leave it to more experienced users. Thanks

"Bulles à verre" here, recycling bins for glass. 5 bins. There are also 2 bins to drop-off old clothes to be recycled or given away. Here's a direct view of those on Google Maps Street View: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4mampvvJDkWqHmaK8

Barrier/gate here. The path is not accessible to the public. There's a plaque that says "private property".

I added a sign "barrier" there. I couldn't find the item "locked fence" or "locked gate" or "private" in the lists that would indicate unauthorized people can't go that way.

There is a fountain here. Locals say the water is not potable, though there isn't any indication or sign that the water should not be used for consumption. But it is often used by people to give a drink to their dog while on a walk, or to refresh the body during hot summer days. There is a wall plaque that says "Source Saint Barthélémy". It's clearly maintained, as the bush around it is cut to leave easy access to the water and there are big flowers ornaments around it.
2~ 18 days agocommentedbrucemarlier
♦18
Today, I walked past it. Correction: There is a sign that says water is not safe for consumption. The sign says "Eau non potable" with a logo of a faucet and diagonal line going over it.

This red path – which begins at Avenue Franklin Roosevelt and ends at Rue de Pinchart – actually goes two different ways, instead of one. In the woods, it separates into two different pathways. When walking on this trail – with Avenue Franklin Roosevelt in the back and Rue de Pinchart in the front – the path does go left (as correctly indicated on the map), but at one point it also goes right and runs along the buildings/houses "43" and "41". That path starts from where I placed the pin and it ends at the pedestrian crossing that leads to the beginning of Avenue Christophe Plantin (see on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/tKCztDw6tgj2jR9F7). There's a small blue "link" on the map, that's where the path ends. Not sure if there's a way for people like me to trace it. Hopefully I explained it well enough, apologies if not... I regularly walk this trail to reach the bus stop located in Avenue Christophe Plantin (which I made a note to create it, because it's also missing on the map). It's a shortcut to it. It's relatively new, it was created 2 or 3 years ago maybe.

Here, there is a gate to prevent cars from driving further onto Allée du Bois des Quewées. Only pedestrians and cyclists can access this part of the path. Hello, Thanks for reporting an issue here. But please do *not* send links to Google Maps in your notes. OSM is a map of the world entirely created by free data. Among our core principles is that we never look on Google Maps to edit OSM. You created multiple notes in the past hours. Can you please confirm, for each of those notes, that you are reporting problems which you observed yourself—and it that case we will adjust the map based on your instructions—and not solely because you saw that on GSV. Thanks.

It looks like you changed it yourself https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/355768219 Next time: perhaps keep the shape and retag it as demolished:building. This will avoid that other mappers who rely on official numerical imagery—which still includes the full shape—will incorrectly import it again.

Thx, I didn't know that tag. However, I put the note there because the building is in active demolishment; there is a crane standing next to it, and they demolished this part, but quite neatly. So I don't know whether they will a) demolish the whole building b) build a new side building or c) close the sides and make it a rectangular building. To be followed up by locals.

There is a bus stop here for the bus line number 17 operated by TEC. The bus stop is called "OTTIGNIES Rue Ch. Plantin". This bus stop has a large shelter with a roof, glass windows and a bench to sit on. Next to the bus stop/shelter, there's also a big trash bin, and one single bicycle rack which is bolted to the ground, so one can park and secure their bicycle to it. If you use Organic Maps, then you probably see an outdated copy of data from our map. It does not show live data. In the past weeks, a lot of effort has been done to erase the old station and draw the new one. The tags in OSM reflect the current situation. Old station building here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/38663776 Temporary station building here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1475042621 I am afraid this note is just to warn us about something which has already been correctly mapped.
