Only bicycle=* is accepted as an extra tag, to disambiguate. horse=no, motor_vehicle=no and vehicle=no are completely useless. They are often added by mistake by iD users because iD shows a lot of text boxes and new users incorrectly assume that it is a good idea to fill all possible information. The old highway=path is an ambiguous tag and will probably disappear in the future. It should not be used to distinguish verhard/onverhard → using highway=footway with surface=* is more future-proof. ;-)

The street underneath (Rue du Hoquet) was mapped as a tunnel, with the road above as a normal road. This is technically correct. However, I feel it makes more sense to consider Rue du Hoquet to be a normal road (ground level) and the road above as a bridge. To achieve this, we add special tags (bridge=yes) to the road above, along with proper values for the layer=* tag. The map is generated automatically by reading OSM data; the black contour lines on the bridge will appear shortly. (Expect a few hours or days before the software refreshes this part of the map.)

I suspect it is a problem with CoMaps, which makes no difference between active drinking fountains and historic water wells. CoMaps, Organic Maps, and some other third-party apps, take data from OSM and present it differently to users, and if they make the wrong assumptions they will mislead users, like here. Not a problem with the underlying data in OSM because this object was correctly tagged as a water well (only the structure) with a historic=* key and no drinking_water=* key. Our data seems correct. I am afraid there is nothing we can do about this.

The real problem is that, in a StreetComplete edit last month you added sidewalk=separate on the road. This tag instructs navigation engines to no longer use the road… and not all of them will route pedestrians on a highway=cycleway without foot tags. In this case, the best option is to remove the restriction on the road. There is no suitable tag in the data model for those situations where access is not really allowed. Fixed.

All the future infrastructure has been mapped as highway=construction, which is fine because this tag is meant for future roads that do not exist yet. The future bridge is correctly mapped as proposed:* (lifecycle prefix). But, unfortunately, a mapper wanted to be helpful by adding the type of users that will be allowed to use it and started adding bicycle=designated to all the future roads… without realizing that this tag would be understood by routers, to grant access to roads that are currently unbuilt. I removed the bad tags here. We can wait a few days for third-party routing engines to refresh their copy of OSM data and, hopefully, no longer send users here.

I may have found a better solution here: instead of cutting the road in a lot of segments before and after each separator, we can add driveways at regular intervals. Navigation engines can use those to make U-turns or reach houses on the other side of the road.

Het lijkt alsof in OpenStreetMaps gans Wijgmaalbroek (en zijstraten) als autovrij beschouw worden. Dit is niet correct.

We call this "proprietary" data. They enforce copyright on their data, and copying information from their website onto OSM is strictly illegal. Should someone do that, those businesses could sue OSM mappers for copyright infringement. The most famous example of a proprietary map is Google Maps, this is why we refuse to copy data from Google Maps to OSM. The same goes for Booking.com. Yes, I could easily have just armchair mapped the connection, but the aerial imagery was not completely clear and connecting here where there is none on the ground could mislead pedestrian routing over a large area. So I thought it would be safer to add the note where someone local may be able to confirm it sooner or later. Thanks for confirming and adding the connection.
