This can be confusing because this exit can take you on the 205 to Salem. Going toward I5-Salem is technically correct, but confusing in the context, and has caused me to take a wrong turn more than once. I propose having the navigation say "continue on 84 East" here if needing to go further into Portland. Stopping the confusion of 2 exits being labeled "Salem". |

From a driver's perspective: you're driving on the I84 West. This is a 2 way split, where the 2 left lanes go to I205 South, with an option to go to I205 North. The 2 right lanes keep you on I84 West. This does indeed eventually get you to I5 but about 6-8 miles later. If this isn't actually an issue, feel free to ignore, I've just taken a wrong turn too many times and wanted to see if something could be done to make it clearer that you continue down 84 west. | |
