Add waterway note to self

After having visited the location in person, it appears this is a retention basin rather than a detention basin. Therefore, it has no outlet. I already made the necessary changes, so I’ll mark this solved…

Are you still going to add this?
3~ 7 days agocommentedPostaMap_Infinite

Hi! To be honest, I completely forgot about this. I’ll probably get around to it but you can add it if you would like! It’s facing forward for the right side, so roughly north.

The boardwalk has a surface that looks like the material used in asphalt roof shingles via StreetComplete 57.1
2~ 1 year agocommentedPostaMap_Infinite
♦64
To verify, does the surface seem to be like paving stones? Ex: https://www.centurionstoneofaz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/catalina-blend-style-stone-pavers.jpg

I found an article about the boardwalk with a photo and it does look like asphalt roof shingle material. Here's a link: https://www.expressnews.com/opinion/commentary/article/Lingle-Trail-honoring-fallen-soldier-offers-path-16692093.php Not sure how to tag it

Haha, I forgot about this note. I will look into this…

I have looked into it. The website: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/texas/morningstar-boardwalk/photos Has a higher resolution image, and to me, it looks most like a recycled tire material, similar to shingles. Since that isn’t really an available option, I suppose the closest thing is paving_stones. The description (https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/surface%3Dpaving_stones) describes it as “A surface paved with artificial blocks (block pavers, bricks) or natural stones (flagstones), with a flat top.” Which to me can cover rubber pavers, similar to the ones seen here, just without the slots: https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/landscaping-materials/pavers-patio-blocks/groundsmart-16-dual-sided-rubber-paver/gspv16gy60/p-1444436033321-c-5786.htm And therefore I believe rubber pavers are the material used in this area of the boardwalk. I will close this comment, as it is already marked as pavers.

This is a non electronic directory kiosk with a map on one side and an advertisement on the other. How would this be mapped?

taginfo.openstreetmap.org says so far there are 12 craft=taxidermist and 11 shop=taxidermist. I guess pick what you think is more appropriate in this case

1~ 10 months agoopened---A new school is here. This would help me in Pokémon go
2~ 10 months agoclosedPostaMap_Infinite
♦64
Oh haha! I forgot Pokemon Go used OSM data. Well the areal imagery doesn't show the school fully constructed so it can be a bit hard to get things accurate but I did my best! hopefully this helps. I'll try to update it further as the imagery updates...

Recent New Renovations have resulted in a brand new playground for Indian Springs Elementary. Current imagery from neither Bing nor Esri show the updated mapping. Yet. This is placed as a marker to note that this playground should be mapped once appropriate imagery is available.
