It is only the museum part inside of the welcome center that has 9am to 5:30pm hours. There are gates inside that close to separate it from the rest of the building after hours. | |

Only Class I or II ATVs with 3 or more wheels are permitted on these trails, so the motocross tag should be removed as Motocross seems to refer to the two wheeled vehicles. Perhaps boundary=protected_area would be an appropriate tag for OSM since it is part of the DNCR operated Sproul State Forest. Do you happen to know whether "trailbikes" in the DCNR's "Motorcycles and trailbikes are not permitted" statement from the ATV areas' brochures refers to two-wheeled human powered pedal bikes (ex. Specialized Stumpjumper)? I am considering tagging the Bloody Skillet ATV trails as "bicycle/horse/foot: no", but I am not sure what DCNR defines as a "trailbike". I'm also not sure a applying boundary=protected area is strictly necessary as it is well within the multipolygon for Sproul SF which already has appropriate tags. But on the other hand Whiskey Springs is both managed & regulated differently, and different enough from the surrounding forest, that I don't question the need for it to be mapped separately (vaguely similar to convention in PA for state forest Natural Areas and Wild Areas). We may have a similar conundrum once Catawissa Recreation Area in Weiser SF finishes redevelopment and is reopened to OHVs - that is a formerly privately-run OHV rec area which the DCNR purchased and is enhancing for future public OHV use. The more I look at what the DCNR says about who can ride here and when, the more I think the trails are going to need a monster of a conditional to truly reflect the rules.
