The fences go all the way south to Braker Lane. If you look at a satellite map, you'll see that it's just a bunch of brush land. The fence is cut in a few places for homeless encampments, but there no way to get to either Silverlawn or MXM from Wedgewood. I'm frankly not sure that the roads even exist ... Not entirely fictitious. GIS map shows where streets and lots were planned for a residential area that was never built. Hickory Grove ("MXM Drive") and Plaza Drive were apparently supposed to continue and meet up with Wedgewood Drive. Possibly Matthew X Martinez didn't realize that none of this was ever going to be built and was trying to be helpful. I deleted the "buildings" and sidewalk that were never built, but left the house numbers.

I run streets as a hobby. I ran Wedgewood and there is no MXM/Hickory Grove drive. Should I go back and provide GPS annotated pictures to show no MXM exists? There might have been a dirt path version of Silverlawn, but it certainly doesn't exist as a walkable street, much less a drivable one. It's behind fencing. Some homeless folks cut the fence and are living there, so I was able to take a peek. Let me know what proof I can provide to get these "streets" removed from the map.

More evidence is always welcome, but as I stated above - I already deleted all the stuff that was never built. Hickory Grove Drive currently exists only as a short stub attached to the west side of Walnut Ridge Drive (near the north end of the dirt track). I have no idea why the previous editor named it "MMX Drive". I did not see this name in either of the maps I used as sources. The ARC-GIS map viewer (https://www.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html) clearly shows the intended path of Silverlawn Drive and a couple of other never-built cross streets. It also shows the right of way that Hickory Grove Drive would have followed west from Walnut Ridge Drive had it been built. The TIGER Roads 2023 feature in website for OpenStreetMap's iD editor also shows these cross streets, or at least the stubs of them, heading west from Wedgewood Drive.

I believe they wish for this to be removed(?) Not sure. The Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Line_(CapMetro)) reports that it's planned to open as early as 2029, along with attached sources. As far as other sources apart from Wikipedia, http://publicinput.com/71029 is another one that shows the actual meeting and material used in said meeting. I don't think anything really needs to be "done" per se.

I think I agree. There's some grumbling that proposed features don't belong on OSM since they are not (yet) physically there. For example, see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:proposed and the discussion page - which still has no consensus. But in this case, it is a major project, and clearly verifiable source-wise, so that's not the real issue. Being a major and probably THE most major proposed line of Project Connect, with the way it will go to the airport, it will almost certainly be built, even if a ways out (and more expensive). So on that, I personally find a lot of value in seeing the outlines of future roads and railways - I find it useful information. If others agree (and judging by the way Austin as a local community often maps proposed features like this, I suspect enough agree to make this make sense), then leaving it is fine. So, I'm good to resolve this, for now.

I disagree. "school hours" is just a value rather than something useful in the eyes of a data processor. It's up to them whether they show it or not. While it's not wrong, unless they have AI to detect what times are "school hours", it'll likely get filtered out as bloat/bad data. I don't think either tag would inherently be bad per say, it's just both have flaws in terms how they're handled.

I took a closer look at opening_hours syntax and I don't think freeform input for the rule (like I suggested above) is valid. I propose the following tagging: access=private access:conditional=permissive @ Mo-Fr 00:00-08:15,15:35-24:00; Sa-Su this way it is assumed private with permissive access outside of school hours.

Well, I was more pointing out the fact that adding houses is a lot of work - if someone wants them there, I would say that in an open map project, the onus is on them to do the work. I suppose I don't believe in using notes just to ask others to do a relatively mundane task that anyone could do.

Eh, I've done more mundane tasks. I need something other than suburban homes to map. Those are getting quite boring simply due to the density per road. I'm like 55-65ish% done anyways. Mapping these kinds of houses adds more difficulty that I enjoy somewhat.

1~ 11 months agoopenedRangertexas66There are two long rectangular three-story apartment buildings missing from this area of the map they run from directly south of the end of the private road where my marker has been placed, And they run all the way to the Northeast to the end of the private road that turns out towards Wolf ranch parkway. These are two separate rectangular buildings with a small garden area between the two. I can tell you that the southwesternmost building right on top of where my matte marker is is building two because that is the building that I live in. I'm not 100% certain of the building number of the other missing building that's directly to the Northeast. These buildings can both clearly be seen from previous satellite imagery on this program and other satellite imagery available from other programs and from the public domain. The reason I'm trying to add these buildings is because apparently the factor food company uses your maps to show locations of residences for people to leave their meals at. And it confused my last delivery driver to no end when he could even see a building showing up on the map where it actually shows that I live.

Agree, it seems they placed the note at the wrong location. On their website the address plugin routes to the location you mentioned, down the road. I placed a node for this business there. The building numbering to guide the placement of the node is somewhat of an educated guess.
