2025-10-26 15:18 | commented | bdentremont ♦2,170 | Yes. If you think I could visit here, talk to a few people and reach the same conclusion, I'd call that verifiable. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Verifiability You should probably assign it a place= tag, such as hamlet. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:place | |
2025-10-26 20:14 | commented | z9nc ♦10 | yes, i think so. theres literally a massive sign that says STOUT there. it even has its own wikipedia article! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stout,_Colorado "although the designation is not official it is used by most residents of Fort Collins" | |
2025-11-02 16:41 | commented | gpserror ♦12,218 | As the wikipedia article says it's not a city anymore. Former city that was destroyed during the creation of the reservoir. Yes the Fort Collins residents still call the general area "stout" but you can't send mail to stout, it's totally fort collins now. IMHO the "stout sign" is somewhat of a memorial now versus any indication it's a city. The neighborhood is "horsetooth heights" now. | |

2025-10-27 00:14 | reopened | gpserror ♦12,218 | Thanks for verifying/reporting history. I changed the tagging a bit so that these don't get picked up by tools documenting bus stops. Now if the bench is gone...that needs to also be updated. | |

| 5003137 Category: Unknown | 1 | 2025-10-12 18:30 | opened | z9nc ♦10 | why are there so many missing buildings in this part of denver??? ive been slowly adding them, but it seems really suspicious to me that almost every single house in this area is just... not here. was there vandalism at some point? | |
2025-10-12 18:38 | commented | ICT_maps ♦3,878 | it's a really time intensive task. Doing it by hand takes a long time; stuff like Rapid only lets you add 50 at a time... | |
2025-10-18 14:58 | commented | jhaluska80 ♦2,611 | It's not vandalism. Missing buildings are extremely common across the US. The map reflects where mappers live and what bother mappers. There's millions of missing buildings in the US cause as you're finding out they're very tedious to add. Look into JOSM and the building plugin. It makes adding buildings about twice as fast. | |
2025-11-10 13:36 | commented | TheNightRider ♦57 | JOSM rocks for many things. It's super powerful but not as easy as iD or other tools. I use it sometimes for things you can't do otherwise and want to use it more. @ICT_maps here's the URL: https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ | |
2025-11-10 13:38 | commented | TheNightRider ♦57 | I meant JOSM has a steeper learning curve. Some things are really easy with it but hard otherwise. Try adding or moving a node in iD to an exact lat/lon. iD can't to it but both are menu items in JOSM. | |
2025-11-10 13:41 | commented | TheNightRider ♦57 | I'm on Linux and use the flatpak version. Just got the latest JOSM v19439 update two days ago. | |
2025-11-10 13:44 | commented | TheNightRider ♦57 | @z9nc Funny you mention missing buildings. I've been adding houses in my own neighborhood that have been missing for years. Why? Nobody did it. Why? Good question. Maybe more exciting to fix mistakes, but then you get faster and faster. | |

2025-09-08 14:33 | commented | dannmer ♦16,802 | The changeset adding the name stated that Vocationtech Road was in Tomtom maps. Streetside imagery shows signage for Shields Street and Westbury but no signs for Vocationtech. I would remove the name. | |

2025-07-13 12:41 | commented | Hypsometric ♦3,736 | Thanks for the note. OSM is for mapping things that exist. If the railway is removed it can probably be tagged as railway=abandoned. But take a look at the info in the wiki for railway lifecycle: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Railways#Life-cycle If you're still unsure, let me know. | |

2025-07-13 13:05 | commented | Hypsometric ♦3,736 | I haven't come across a miniature train track before. But if it were regular train tracks that is exactly how I would tag it. I say go for it. Once you've updated, you can close this note :-) | |
