There are no rails in the same way that there are no rails in the middle of Queens Quay any more. At what point do rails get removed from OSM? Do they stick around forever? Should I be mapping historical rail? The wiki page for railway=abandoned doesn't seem to describe this situation. railway=razed says "Avoid mapping former railways if it is impossible to determine the former route from the ground or aerial imagery. Consider using Open Historical Map instead to map former railways." Can I remove these?? Will people be angry at me for doing so? I'm genuinely trying to follow best practices.

I created this little bit of magic to keep me on track. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/United_States/Railroads#Life_Cycle I would say your leaning into railway=razed with this one and as outlined it is up to the mapper to decide to keep or not.

♦482		I’m contradicting my own previous comment with this, but IMO if the rails are present in most aerials but not on the ground (what seems to be the case here) they can be railway=razed safely. IMO In a few years, when most aerial providers update, and the rails and trackside infra (ballast, ties, etc) are no longer visible whatsoever there, it’s safe to delete the track entirely.. (but I’ve personally never been here, and have no idea if a right of way is still present on the ground)

Curiously, Oakville did draw crosswalks and also cut dips in the curb at intersections with this path, so I guess this informal path is now... official? I really don't know, it's strange.

Apostrophe also seems confirmed by sign at Bloor in 2017 and 2018: https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/mM6VZNk1kt5hVaXlznoPTg and https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/JIs0-WeuhxILshACrc3u7w Canada Post has addresses as "287 SAINT HELENS AVE" with no apostrophe.
