| 4962437 Category: Unknown | 1 | 2025-09-15 01:37 | opened | FeetAndInches ♦152 | The Memorial Union, Family Life Center, and EML Hall are all one large, connected building. They are currently mapped as having small gaps between them. Is it possible to join them together as one large building with separate building:part pieces without losing the edit history on all of them? | |

| 9 | 2025-12-19 05:09 | commented | FeetAndInches ♦152 | Could someone with more experience please check my work here? I think I did it wrong the first time so that the names did not appear on the building:part pieces. I corrected it with a second changeset. Now it looks right on the map, but I want to make sure I didn't make a mistake somewhere. There was also an issue with the sidewalk that goes under the FLC, so please check that as well. I hit iD's "mark the building as higher," but I'm not sure why it threw an error in the first place. I'll leave the note open until someone checks it and makes sure I did it correctly (or helps me understand how to get it right next time). This will allow the name to still render. See path 1388688265 (Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center) for an example of this. | ||
| 11 | 2025-12-20 21:57 | closed | HoubkneghteS ♦50 | But looking into this more I think the way they are currently tagged is valid. NDSU website refers to these as separate but connected buildings. | ||

| 2 | 2025-09-05 00:02 | commented | HoubkneghteS ♦50 | The path that this marker is placed on is tagged as a periodic (seasonal) stream. Did you see any evidence of a stream being there? Or did you mean a different path? | ||
| 3 | 2025-09-13 16:16 | commented | IllusiveBat ♦60 | I don't have the best memory but I'm pretty sure I was referring to the actual road / path and not the stream. I would double check imagery. | ||

| 2 | 2024-11-18 20:28 | commented | Hypsometric ♦3,920 | Updated the name. I am leaving this open because I came across MN DNR's page (https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/polymet/permitting/index.html) about court process/rulings on the permit to mine here. The latest update is March 2023. It was ruled that "...after review of the recommendation of the administrative law judge, the DNR will make a final permit decision on the permit to mine application." It could be that the permits will be revoked if the mining operation is negatively effecting the water in the area. | ||
| 3 | 2025-05-31 03:22 | commented | gvwaal ♦120 | I don't love the current condition of the area but it's hard to edit in iD and wonder if it'd be easier for someone familiar with JOSM: - landuse=quarry is only applicable to the area where something is currently being mined, but no mining is occurring here - landuse=quarry is currently applied to man_made=spoil_heap and man_made=tailings_pond and shouldn't be - landuse=industrial could be applied to the whole area encompassing the spoil heap, tailings pond, and processing plant - landuse=brownfield isn't particularly because it assumes a formerly developed area, which it wasn't; it's in the same state it was when the former operator went bankrupt Figure 3.2-23 has more info on what would be considered the plant (not mine) site: https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/input/environmentalreview/polymet/feis/007_chapter_3_proposed_action_and_alternatives.pdf | ||

I'll do it myself so no one touch the buildings around here. Any edits I've made are verified in-person and I don't want anyone messing it up with old satellite data. | |
