♦120		There is a field gate that walkers prefer to use when it's open. The stile gets a bit overgrown. You can add a field gate where the path passes through the field boundary. The PROW alignment is through the stile.

If you take the long green strip that runs from the north towards this point, the gate is just to the west of that alignment and the path now runs along the western side of that alignment. If you check aerial imagery on Bing Maps, you will see 2 parallel fences as an extension to the green strip. The path runs on the western side. I hope this makes sense

The path turns at this kissing gate and travels almost directly west to the gate at the western end of the field. Where the path runs parallel with the hedge, there is a new fence on the outside of the path, preventing access across the field, ie enforcing the PROW alignment. From the kissing gate, under discussion, there is another new fence in a straight line towards the gate at the western end, again enforcing the PROW alignment. I hope this makes sense.

♦120		The Test Way is a named long-distance path. Much, but not all, of it's length is along Public Rights of Way. Some sections are Public Footpaths; some are Bridleways; others are Permissive Paths with designated user rights. This particular section, along the former Sprat & Winkle Railway, is a Public Footpath with Permissive Bridleway rights.
