Temporary objects of this size are likely to be re-mapped repeatedly either by armchair mappers or even by tourists that don't know about the seasonal setup. Possibly they could be marked as sesonal=yes, access="no @ (Apr-Oct)" plus a description tag? The scenario reminds me of some alpine railway bridges that are removed every autumn and re-assembled again in spring to protect them from weather damage. Although the seasonal absence of these bridges is much less likely to cause confusion for map-users because entire railway is covered in snow anyway. If you find it preferable for the docks not to be displayed on most maps then "conditional:man_made"="pier @ (Nov-Mar)" could do the trick without ommiting them from OSM. | |
