We had checked reviews of the hike in advance, and they indicated the gate had been permanently closed for civilian vehicles at some point. The road past the gate was badly pitted and had little parking, so we think that's the reason it was closed to cars. However, if the mapillary photo is more recent than my comment, perhaps things have changed. | |
