And they are very clearly meant for other mappers - either asking them to check something, help with something the submitter doesn't know how to do, for collaboration (even with oneself), etc. A note being open for years isn't ideal, but it is still a valid use case, and the best way to resolve it is to actually physically go there and figure it out. But notes don't mean anything to regular users, and they are indicativa of nothing. Routers ignore them. In this case, I genuinely wasn't sure whether the path exists. I made the note so that someone else would go there and make sure, or in the unlikely case that I will go there (might happen this year, but hard to tell at this point). I actually didn't even notice that you did make a change in the map - I guess that is a valid change, and it is most likely correct, but noone knows unless and until someone actually goes there to check. | ||

Der Weg wurde aber vor 4 Jahren von User Plinius Meterson angelegt und vor 3 Jahren von User Mond00 bearbeitet. Es ist deshalb ausgeschlossen, dass er ein Fake ist, und extrem unwahrscheinlich, dass er versehentlich an einer substantiell falschen Stelle eingetragen wurde. Ich gehe auch davon aus, dass Du nicht an einer völlig falschen Stelle nach ihm gesucht hast. Da Du ihn aber nicht finden konntest, ist es äußerst wahrscheinlich, dass er überwuchert worden ist - wie so viele andere Wege auch. Mir reicht dieser logische Schluss, einen solchen Hinweis zu erledigen (was ich hier jetzt natürlich unterlasse), denn gerade Hinweise in solch ländlichen Gebieten im Wald, werden oft jahrelang nicht überprüft, bringen also wenig. Und das Phänomen der Überwucherung wird uns abseits der Hauptwanderwege sowieso in Zukunft noch wachsende Probleme bereiten, weil auch die Kommunen und die Wandervereine immer weniger finanzielle und personelle Ressourcen haben, die Wege in Ordnung zu halten. Obendrauf lommen noch vermehrte Sperrungen durch Tore und Gitter. Da sollten wir es mit unseren bescheidenen Mitteln mit der Pingeligkeit im Kleinen nicht übertreiben - meine Meinung. Jetzt aber: a merry Xmas and a happy new year. | ||

My main theory was that since this is very much next to the stream and there is a steep incline down from the road, there probably was a bit of a flood in the past year or two, that effectively wiped any traces of a path through, and it also overgrown. Like, the whole area there is thick bushes, and any path that used to be there must have very obviously been fairly temporary/intermittent. But yea, merry xmas to you too. :) | ||
