♦2,239		In this case, there’s a stop sign on one entrance, so mapping the light on the centre node would incorrectly tell drivers coming from that direction that there is a light after the stop sign. In general, more detailed allows for better analysis and use of the data. Maybe someone wants to know how far back the stop lines are from crossings, or more accurately tell drivers where they’ll be stopping.
