~ 1 year ago | commented | dannmer ♦20,219 | It's possible that both airports no longer exist |
~ 1 year ago | commented | RDreher ♦48 | It's apparently owned by David Fliesser, who can be reached at 518-993-3651. I can't find any information suggesting it isn't operational anymore, but I also can't find much information on the business. |
~ 1 year ago | commented | RDreher ♦48 | Ah, I just noticed something: look at this link: https://skyvector.com/airport/44NY/Tomcat-Airport It mentions that this airport is west of Fort Plain and gives the coordinates. This seems to be 106 Pickle Hill Rd, which is also where Google has this airport. |

And I just came across a place called Di Stefano Airpark while googling airports in Canajoharie. This is not only isn't Tomcat Airport, it is/was probably DiStefano Airpark 3NY4. https://www.world-airport-codes.com/united-states/di-stefano-airpark-52210.html | |

~ 2 months ago | commented | CurlingMan13 ♦54,213 | I think so. Maybe not as long, but there are certainly still hangars |
~ 1 month ago | commented | CurlingMan13 ♦54,213 | Is that a good enough reason to keep it? |
~ 1 month ago | commented | gpserror ♦11,878 | Seems a lot of private businesses/etc build their own airports, but then some go disused. Not sure if this one ended up in this situation...
