| 6 | ~ 3 years ago | commented | Latiasfan | I'll check back later to make sure this is fixed. For now stick to Google maps for the real address. I don't live in the area anymore but at the same time don't know where Lombard Street is. I know where Lombard Lane is just never heard about a Lombard Street in this location. | |

It's like it's never been Lombard Lane, or so long ago as to not be in living memory. I would simply like to know it's been checked on-site, and I have left a note on my own map to ensure I check it when I have cause to be in this area.

The transportation layers show both street and lane with functional class and operations consider it lane. The all roads layer has street. The city shows it as street. The county is the official record of home addresses so I'd say at least that one house is addressed as lane, the rest are streets. The city probably assigned the address to the parcels and the country just hold the records. The city is probably the creator record of the street names and it says street. I don't know who maintains the address database for 911 there but that should be a clone of the official records. The sign shop can make typos so you can't rely on signage.
