The junction with Sinclair Street has "East King Street", the junction with Charlotte Street has "King St. E.", the junction with Henry Bell Street has "East King Street" again, and I didn't go as far as the end of the street at the junction with Old Luss Road, but Bing Streetside imagery from 2020 shows another sign there that says "King St. E.". I checked the websites of a few businesses/amenities along the road and they consistently give their addresses as "East King Street", and the signs which have that version look newer, so I'd say the whole thing should probably be "East King Street" despite the signs.
