1~ 9 months agoopenedHugh ShipmanThis path does not exist. This map shows the correct situation https://geoportail.wallonie.be/walonmap#BBOX=37526.31126372026,38152.087226133415,161911.3441731697,162164.61062645447#SHARE=389095A828B9A501E0630AB6A49D72DC

> also a track is visible. +/- 100 - 200 m not visible in the field, but surely passable https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/4829273 First of all we are on flemish territory here and the person in the other note established that there is a path although not visible on imagery.
3~ 9 months agocommentedHugh ShipmanHe did establish that, but I am the one who has actually been there. The path that once existed has been ploughed away. It ruined my running plans! At the entrance if farm Zwartemolenstraat the signs make clear the intention of the farmer. Private Property!. Guard dog !Keep out!.

The sign is not wrong. It is private property after his house.
5~ 9 months agocommentedHugh ShipmanI found the sign on Zwartemolenstraat on Streetview. Private Weg ... xxx Gevaarlijk Hond. We are not welcome.

1~ 9 months agoopenedHugh ShipmanFrom this point running south, this path does not exist. I tried going further but ended up in the yard of a metal working business. I sneaked through this but there are just thick trees and brambles where this path once was. It is a shame, route of old railway. I really hoped to find it.

thanks for your note. Could you add a picture?
3~ 9 months agocommentedHugh Shipman I may not be back for a while. I see that it is marked on the Google Maps aerial photo, you can see the metal company yard I had to climb around in. I could try from the other end. But even without piles of scrap metal, it is massively overgrown and totally impassable. I would have pushed through anything I could, rather than turn around and climb back through that companies heaps of metal!

Simply put it on disused: so it can be added again when the road is cleared
5~ 9 months agocommentedHugh ShipmanThanks, i'll eventually report on the other end of the path. Its a same its not there, in the middle is a railway bridge over the beek. It would really be something the gemeente could do for the people to reopen it.
6~ 9 months agocommentedHugh Shipmanshame not same!

Oh there is probably a report button on their website. Otherwise email. If it is "public property" it should be cleared indeed. It looks like it is actually mapped in the "wegenregister".
8~ 9 months agocommentedHugh ShipmanI reported the state of the two entries at the southern end. There is no way in, from both sides there are fences and paths terminate inside private property. These notes have been resolved by your colleague Jakka. So the facts on the ground are that the railway is impassably overgrown and terminates inside private property. If it is your opinion that this is public property, I would like to make a complaint. Would you point me to the website to do this?

Municipality. Either a report form or email. Which points exactly? Precisely on the note(s)
10~ 9 months agocommentedHugh ShipmanChemin Lutun path entry is gated and fenced sign: "private property". Chemin du Bon Coin path does not join to road. Terminates inside reservoir property which has impassable high fence. There is no way into old rail line from South Side for the public. Your colleague says amendments are/will be made.

The disappointment of users is understandable. It's important to know that this section is closed for safety reasons, as it runs along unsecured water holes, while the RAVeL section can be built. For now, and for an indefinite period, this area remains inaccessible and dangerous. The fact that it is marked as "private" is because the path passes through former brickworks, not metallurgy sites. The path will continue on the other side once the necessary budgets are available to complete the project.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. > Closed for safety reasons I would not mind turning off the path temporarily off osm, for the time being, by using disused: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Lifecycle_prefix > path passes through former brickworks, not metallurgy sites. Is the current factory still operational (industrial zone) or brownfield? > constructed when budgets are available please do not hesitate to let us know when such works begin and finish :)

1~ 9 months agoopenedHugh Shipman2m high gate and fence marked Private Property No Entry. While there is evidence of the track behind the gate, it is now in the garden of the house marked 2 which has 2m fence all round. There is no way to reach the track from here or the field next to it.

1~ 9 months agoopenedHugh ShipmanThis track runs from the farm to the point I have marked and then ends. There is absolutely no way to go further, potato field. Entrance to farm has signs Private, No Entry, Danger guard dog. I decided to risk it and OK going in but on way back shouted at by man and barked at by dog.

Looking at aerial imagery, the road indeed stops here. It is used to be an entry point to the fields and nothing more. No road further.

♦210
So this is an official road. Public right of way.

Coming from Verlorenhoekstraat, also a track is visible. +/- 100 - 200 m not visible in the field, but surely passable. Will add visibility tags.
