I found the two rising bollards and added them. But it looks like we have an impossible routing situation on the map. There are bollards here and on Avenue de Saint-Job/Sint-Jobselan. Bus 41 passes here and buses can lower the bollards; cyclists and pedestrians may also pass easily. But motor traffic seems to be allowed to enter the southern loop along this road on weekdays: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/9709656 The situation is unclear: is it a dead-end road for cars? The only recent pictures I could find were taken during the weekend. Could anyone clarify what motor vehicles coming from Avenue du Réservoir/Vergaarbaklaan are allowed to do in this area during weekdays? + We’ll probably have to add an explicit tag for emergency vehicles here.

I have made several another non 3d pictures in mapillary and panoramax around 5 September and some "stolen" picture end Augustus. (the place is not legaly accessible for now) The fence is not finished on the "anchor" of the building (Siamu asked to keep a distance beetween the lateral of the building and the fence, after that CRMS ask to change the anchrage, but non of 2 design looks like corresponding from ground situation). To draw it proprely we need to have access here https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/470180749 to make more pictures. Workers keep to say September for the end of the works but we are in Belgium ; when someone say it's inaugurate ; lets presume that's mean works are not finished but politician need articles and when construction workers say september ask another one ;-) I have planed another survey end of the month , if it's open (realy) ping me i can make a detour for that.

Rue dupont connect the tram track instead the road. But the question is witch road to connect ? Service road for bus and taxi or https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/312657252. There is F18 before and after https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1517438176402696 Legal text say : "Les autres véhicules peuvent traverser le site spécial franchissable pour (...) et dans les carrefours" https://securotheque.wallonie.be/equipements/signalisation-c/verticale/de-police/f18-signaux-indication and 36202 MONITEUR BELGE — 20.06.2011 − Ed. 2 — BELGISCH STAATSBLAD that is tha latest coordinate of this part of 76.2 I was thinking (wrongly) that to cross a "site spécial franchissable" we needed a damier composées de carrés blancs but it's not a law requeriement , only a recommandation 77.8. <Inséré par AR 1997-07-16/32, art. 14, 2°; En vigueur : 01-10-1997> Des marques en damier composées de carrés blancs peuvent être apposées sur le sol. A vehicle comming from here : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=986793594048344 can legaly turn left to go here : https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/173634167 and same from https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=986619370681627 to go Rue Dupont. continus withe line are inexistant there. Or i have missed something ? Less problematic for routing , the section crossing Rue Royale of this one : https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/14192252/ should be oneway=no (it's a edge case but technicaly if no u-turn restriction this should be both way.

This is a very complicated intersection, thanks for spotting those special cases. Indeed, left turns are legal and the map did not reflect that. This should fix the situation for both cases: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1556553263 To clarify about white lines: only the classical white line between normal car lanes (15 cm) is something that may never be crossed. The white line along a busway having an F18 sign is thicker (20 or 25 cm) and is the same as the white line along parking spaces (the name is something like "bord fictif de la chaussée") and it may be crossed to reach a driveway, a garage or a parking spot. And it may be crossed across intersections because technically a F18 sign ceases its effect at the beginning of the intersection even if the lines are painted all along. Also fixed the U-turn on the other intersection: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1556553808

This is not the shape of future new building but the shape of old "company apartment" (logements de fonction) previously operated by SNCB . (previously mapped in 1 bloc and user deleted it and address when creating the constrution zone) https://osmcha.org/changesets/166603406 No usable source was found for new shape but it will be a large building.

♦5,963
Here is a temporary fix for this: 1) Instead of buliding=construction, mark those 5 small shapes as old buildings: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1551719578 2) Until something is visible, just a landuse=construction https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1388732821 And we wait until we can spot something here (or until UrbIS gets updated) to start drawing the new building. OK for you?

Dear @Raphael, Thank you for picking this up: there's a long history of slow-paced re-arranging this former tertiary highway; the tag foot=no seems to have been added together with bicycle=use-sidepath, but at a time the former cyclepath had been re-categorised as footway; while we're at it: re-align some building outlines from earlier aerial photos to GRB, either add all parking, or none; look at planting: neither village green nor planter, nor flower-bed ... what then?

First of all, welcome to the wonderful world of OSM(-editing)!! :-) To keep track of changes on a location we use "life cycle prefixes" (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Lifecycle_prefix) If you have other questions about tagging, you nearly find everything in the wiki ;-) In this case I still have 2 remarks: 1) use the tag was:name=* + was:shop=bakery 2) if a POI is located with an address tag, the POI doens't need an address tag. In this case you can remove all the address tags ...
6~ 2 months agocommentedThierry1030
♦6,264
1) remove these tags: - addr:city=Haasrode - addr:housenumber=6 - addr:postcode=3053 - addr:street=Armand Verheydenstraat 2) rename this tag: was:name=Govaerts-Gilis was:shop=bakery

parking:both:access=private seams not correct ; i have see this patern on many streets of the area (Axe Evere / WSL) Looks like it's came from the mecanical edit of new street parking scheme conversion, where the parking:condition:both=residents was set. Don't think there is a lot of this restrictions in public space in Brussels btw.

♦5,963
I agree there is a problem here. AFAIK, those parking space are not reserved for residents, everyone may park here, but residents are exempted from paying. So, it should not be an "access" but a "fee" condition here. I’ll try to see in the next days how many situations like this we have and if we can retag them all at once or if they’d better be reviewed individually.

One more discrepancy, indeed. Any suggestion to decide?
3~ 2 months agocommentedRaphaelPasloin
♦1,483
As the Municipality border is higher in terms of hierarchy of norms and moving it it's a big no way i think that Urbis and Bpost are wrong here. As housenumbers are aka "police" number (in sence of admin power) i have searched from with police zone the 118 depend and it's : https://www.police.be/5343/fr/contact/votre-quartier/quartier-jourdan?number=118&street=109727 Also if you take the street "section" https://databrussels.be/en/id/streetname/1257/1 the house clearly belong to Etterbeek https://www.belgif.be/downloads/best/20211019_Guide_en_mati%C3%A8re_de_constatation_et_attribution_d_adresses.pdf (p 29-30-31) For my understanding the access to the door is in Etterbeek so i suggest to attach it to https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3017251 The pbost geocoding is also wrong as they situate the address on the Mussensteteeg and not the first time i see them excactly copying error from Urbis (like this one : https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5550347401) We can maybe add a contact:postcode with a note on the address to indicate the discreprenancy even i think 1050 is a error in both db.

small question: this one is mapped this way > https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1304918446 shouldn't we keep some coherence?

♦5,963
The POI for the freemasonry club is here as a node, because this is their "headquarters". Now, about the building: I added the wikimedia_commons tag to this building. But there is a problem about a possible name for the building itself. The only thing I could find online was: "Temple maçonnique - Vrijmetselaarstempel", which is more a description than a name. And https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1304918446 has name=Temple maçonnique des Amis philanthropes - Vrijmetselaarstempel van de Cercle des Amis philanthropes My suggestion: use this long text string as `description` for both buildings, and no name.

♦5,963
Possibly the same description, if that building is also a "temple" and not just "a building they own" but without any ceremonial activity. Alternatively, if binding those two buildings is really wanted, we can remap the freemasonry club into a polygon instead of a node.

Visited the place 2 times on open day : https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/243559764 is the main area for temples. 243559701 has proably too but not the bigest ones There is in fact many temples and they are not attached in any "loges" (even they use mostly the same for weekly/monthly use). There is also many many other "loges" : https://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/zoekadresform.html?postcod1=1000&postgemeente1=&straatgemeente1=RUE+DE+LAEKEN&huisnummer=79&filterEnkelActieve=true&_filterEnkelActieve=on&actionLU=Rechercher Les Amis philanthropes is just one of them. I also think that amenity community_centre is not really adequate here as it's not open to the public , and there is some rules and procedure to be admited.

I followed last Thursday a guided tour in the museum AND in the temple complex. This is what I (re)mapped: 1) complex with several temples which are connected whith each other (and also with the museum) https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/243559764 2) I removed 'Les Amis Philanthropes' which is indeed one of the many 'loges'. I added however the federation that federates many loges (Grand Orient de Belgique) > https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/13933131855 Still have 1 question: the museum is now mapped as a POI. It is fully located in Maison Dewez (https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/13541497). Should we keep it mapped as a POI? Thanks for this last clarification. Then we finally can close this note :-)

Heritage=4 on this building seams to me not correct. Heritage=4 is for protected buildings or zone but this building is just one of 40.000 building that is "Inscrit à l’inventaire légal" https://monument.heritage.brussels/fr/Ixelles/Rue_du_Conseil/2/20201 It's explicitly "L’inscription d’un bien à l’inventaire ne constitue pas à proprement parler une mesure de protection mais elle joue un rôle important dans la conservation du patrimoine car elle vise à attirer l’attention des propriétaires et des autorités sur l'intérêt patrimonial de ce bien." https://patrimoine.brussels/agir/aspects-legaux/inventaire-du-patrimoine Maybe also need to precise this here https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:heritage#Brussels Statut juridique : Classé depuis le = heritage=4 like this building https://monument.heritage.brussels/fr/buildings/10928 + wikidata is for the bar not for the building , wikimedia is empty.

I agree we should remove bad tags from this buildings. For the wiki, do I understand that we should rewrite the block for Brussels to say something like this? Listed buildings (« classé » / « beschermd » on the heritage website) should have heritage=4. Additional buildings, which are listed in the inventory of remarkable buildings, should not.

wiki : yes * classé / beschermd * inscription sur la liste de sauvegarde / Ingeschreven op de bewaarlijst ==> on urban brussels they also show the blue shield on their page when it's protected (it's international by unesco convention : https://www.unesco.org/fr/heritage-armed-conflicts/emblem ) and that can be spotted during survey : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1200036975540077 The only "edge" case i see it's when a building is in "procédure de classement" (Arrêté du Gouvernement de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale ) : that indicate the begin of the procédure ==> CRM <==> Ubran brussels <==> Minister (or secretary of state) up to 2 years , strictly speaking it's not yet heritage but i can understand some user want to add this way. maybe proposed:* is better in that case.

The municipality border is false according to SPF https://ccff02.minfin.fgov.be/geoservices/arcgis/services/WMS/Cadastral_Layers/MapServer/WmsServer?: - Municipality The reason of this strange situation indicated in changeset 182125783 is that 71 73 75 are not on the correct place and the building passage with 10 steps for17 meters long is also not on the correct place. For 71 it's easy : Take aerial, you will see a small dome on the top of the building : just in front you have 6 rectangle it's the "marquise/auvent" of the hotel. The entreance is just in the middle. (i have make many delivery in the past here), for the building passage as i remember it's straight not oblik as mapped now, 71 is perfectly placed in Urbis Admin so if we take the 73 and 75 : just in the middle it's the building passage (just a part is steps if i recall well) Of course a survey make this more precise but at least we can have the correct border and a more accurate position of the building passage.

for 71 it's possible that they consider the service road entrance for the post code instead of door position.

I surveyed this area last week, I will upload Panoramax pictures in the next days. Clearly a weird case because if we want to map the address on the entrance while ensuring that reverse geocoding will work we have to cheat with borders, which is not a good idea.

There is this map made by volunteers: https://pnote.eu/projects/invaders/map (The data does not come from OSM because it showed the BXL_02 reference before we changed it here.)

Fixed, thanks. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/256958475 The situation in this town is a little special: there is currently a new group of users who have been asked to edit OSM as part of a class. I suspect many of them use iD on their phones. That would explain why there are so many dragged nodes in their edits; I guess that users are trying to drag the map and do not realise that their finger selected a node by mistake. It looks like they had their last assignment today, so we should expect less damage from now on.

This document is from the 1990s. There was a gallery across the old Martini Tower, which was razed around 2001. The new building hosting Belfius does not contain any passageway, and this address does not exist in the current UrbIS inventory of addresses. IMHO, we should not map this, because it does not exist anymore.

Unfurtunaly i haven't found picture of this signage, and you need to be lucky to catch all 2 signs as it's in fr in one side and in nl in other side (in each entrance) or doing AR beetween the 2 stations and making a video.

Very intriguing indeed. It looks like an M2 sign here below the arrow, as if cyclists were allowed to ride contraflow on half of the part. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1921972068627879 For anyone making a survey: if the two access roads are still barred like here (https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1829466440969417), we should check how cars are supposed to enter Chaussée de Boitsfort/Bosvoordsesteenweg. Perhaps along the tram tracks but from what I see in the same Mapillary sequence, it was not allowed…

I added the bollard to the map. Last week, when approaching Chaussée de Boitsfort from Avenue des Staphylins, I noticed a D1 traffic sign indicating one has to turn right, which makes it impossible to use the parking spaces on the stretch of Chaussée de Boitsfort between Staphylins and de La Hulpe. I am not sure if this is the intended final situation for this stretch of road, and I am also not sure if it is intended to be unidirectional for bicycles.
5~ 4 months agocommentedRaphaelPasloin
♦1,483
The D1 is still there theses sunday : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=26395822600044764 Looks like a typical Brussels situation : works on a regional road, change on nearest street signs but no change on the municipality side. Maybe we can consider that there is no C1 sign and make the part near 154A bidirectional ? It's borderline i agree but i don't see another solution.

You’re talking about Émile vs Emile, right? This change intrigued me too, but the street sign apparently uses the unaccented version. Considering that this other square uses the É + all other sources confirm this, I think we should restore the main name=Émile and official_name=Emile https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/32252407 (And slightly adjust the rule about how street signs are the ultimate authority for spelling: we correct the spelling when the error is obvious, as we do for "Rue de l'Elan" or "Rue de l'Ecole".)

There are probably several problems here. (And I remember having added those cycle routes a few years ago after a couple of surveys, a lot of guessing and not the convenience of the 360° photo coverage we are having now.) https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1389393742509793 → the ICC sign sends cyclists to the left, and I suppose it means crossing the boulevard to use https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/144270575. That solves the problem if small Lambermont alley which is one-way + the one-way cycle connector which the relation currently uses in both directions. After that, the cycle relation can use this connector https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1131443679 and take the cycle lane on the boulevard, and it should work.

Any advice ?

♦5,963
What we see in the middle of the boulevard is valid tactile tiles, therefore it will be tactile_paving=yes everywhere (on edges and on crossing nodes). This is at least how we have been mapping so far. (That aside, I am interested to know if Bxl-Mobilité still enforces a reference document with the standard values that should apply for those devices, because the distance between the tile and the road is greater in the middle island than on the sidewalks.)

Sorry, mapping the road crossing was straightforward but I overlooked the "via the ramp"-part. When I look at Mapillary picts, I wonder if we should keep the "bicycle=dismount" part on the ramp. Some navigation engines exclude those entirely from results and will therefore never use the bridge. It looks like one more legal grey zone but perhaps bicycle=yes between the bridge, this connector https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1284478931 and the crossing would make sense. Any thoughts?

Well, it’s purely a convention. But since F4map and other 3D renderers go like that, we should follow it indeed. It makes sense in this simple wiki example: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Minlevel.svg but does not work well with piled structures. (And IMHO it would make much more sense to map coherent group of floors as polygons instead of slicing floors.) Sorry about the previous edit, it should be correct now.

As far as I can remember, the station code—which is still used internally to determine whether displays inside the station will be put with French first (odd numbers) or Dutch first (even numbers)—is still 27, and still matches this part of stops.txt GTFS. Middle two digits of the platform code: 8271,,"SAINTE-CATHERINE",,50.852347,4.347749,,,0,5 8272,,"SAINTE-CATHERINE",,50.851900,4.348012,,,0,5 And first 3 digits of each exit: 0270105,,"1 - Quai au Bois à Brûler",,50.851934,4.348232,,,2,5 0270305,,"1 - Quai aux Briques",,50.851853,4.347863,,,2,5 0270405,,"1 - Quai aux Briques",,50.852581,4.347365,,,2,5 0270505,,"1 - Quai aux Briques",,50.853165,4.346953,,,2,5 0270605,,"1 - Quai au Bois à Brûler",,50.852949,4.347536,,,2,5 You have a valid point that GTFS data also contains additional entries for station themselves. 5,,"SAINTE-CATHERINE",,50.851900,4.348012,,,1, It follows another sequence, where stations were inserted into the GTFS from west to east starting from Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation. Honestly, I don’t know what to do with that situation, because both numbers are correct…

I am not aware of any app using ref:STIB_MIVB for stations. Are you?
4~ 6 months agocommentedRaphaelPasloin
♦1,483
I am a novice to that tbh. I was exploring the use of ref:STIB_MIVB to "group" the new (beta) real time api of waiting time on both platform to link it on the main station for a personal iot application. (but i can use another way to do that so it's not a blocking problem) If you look on https://gtfs.org/fr/documentation/schedule/schedule-best-practices/# it's say that "Le champ parent_station doit faire référence au stop_id de la gare dans laquelle se trouve l’établissement d’embarquement." and for this station it's 5. all platform here or entrance are linked to 5 not to 27 If you take https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/6414192032 it's ref:STIB_MIVB 67 and that's match the gtfs data If i follow the logic you explain https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/684571186 should be linked to station 70 (diamant)

♦5,963
If we want to honour the definition of GTFS, then we must use ref:STIB_MIVB=5 for this station, but then we’ll lose existing information, which I think is the correct one. (IMHO, the mistake comes from STIB/MIVB’s export which spawns new id numbers for stations when generating those files instead of using the established ones.) Please leave me a few days to consult two fellow mappers who work with GTFS, and we’ll see how we fix this issue.

Bicycle route https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1102531 pass here but pedestrian way are now marked without bicycle=yes Not passed by there today to check if there is some change here but it's mostly improbable. (pin + Avenue des trembles northbound + connection to Centenaire. West part of tagette is more borderline as there is a C3 without exception comming from Gros Tilleul, but no indication going to Gros Tilleul.

It's look like concrete It's the colour of conctete But in fact it's colored asphalt. I passed last week and i notice a strange "granulat" in the junction with the paving stones near the street. So yesterday, i saw the new part in construction (black aphalt in same level of the street) and i ask a contractor worker and they will just add a spayed paint to it (grey) https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/176075767

I started mapping this area. The new buildings and the small path are mapped now: https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/175939590 + https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1458607125 Some more work to do to remove the construction site and add the new buildings on the other side of the street. Probably later today.

I spotted a strange situation here last week, but do not recall all the details. When coming from the north, entering the cycle track requires doing a complicated move. Presumably using the zebra crossing and the footway… but the current permissions on OSM do not match this. + Need to check the connections with the two small streets on the west side. I will survey again later (within 2 weeks), unless someone is faster.

Zebra crossing effectively : https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/175532703 I passed yesterday here and now i realise it's signed when you come frome south : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1916907445851178 For the 2 smalls streat on west : Near Barchon there is a connection but not clear if they will move the footway crossing or it's in purpose : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=3674092632722213 On St André there is a kerb : https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=2119305502214208

It's not private it's just a compressed air point already set on the fuel station. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1383840443360356 Some users set this as bicycle repair station but i think : https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dcompressed_air if we need to map it seperatly , or set on the fuel station (as it's only schrader valve , all fuel with compressed_air=yes do the job ). no strong opinion on that. @Mastodommte : please provide more info next time, be sure you explore all the area, and reply to your own notes.

@Mastodommte @Sim100v I passed there this morning and the correct answer is that it's still vacant. There is still the signs of moving and clearly a new business can go there. So please : take time to read a little bit the wiki and the streetcomplete documentation before doing such notes. you have also the community forum and a lot of online ressources. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:shop%3Dvacant
