Hi, Alan Bragg!
We noticed your recent edit where you changed part of South Road (Way 412553864) from `highway=tertiary` to `highway=footway`.

I noticed there are two fairly similar hiking routes - https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/9338492 and https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/15569997

should these be combined or are they distinct?

Have you maybe meant

I am pretty sure that it is a typo, but not sure enough to just replace it (I edited some objects where situation seemed more clear to me).

name field must not be used as a description, which is exactly what you did in most of the edits here. Please correct these problems, else this edit is going to be reverted.

hola alan,

22020-01-13 19:12Alan Bragg Interesting. Whats on the ground is a line of about 15 boulders creating a wall with a space for pedestrians on the east side. The road is none existent. I re-mapped the area with a path, the sidewalk connections, fire hydrant and bike rack.

Hi, Alan!
A quick note: in this changeset you, somehow, added "building=yes" not only to buildings, but also to points.
I guessm to avoid this one needs to "unselect nodes" before adding tags to ways.

2. Selected all buildings (Ctrl+F, "building")

According to osm wiki (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:natural%3Dsand) deserts should not be tagged like this.

Hello Alan Bragg. Is this an import? Is there any discussion about your edit?
Why i'm asking: in this changeset you have introduced a lot (nearly 20) of new, unkown, undocumented and uppercase keys! I don't think, that this should be in the osm database.
22017-09-15 09:48Alan Bragg Not an import. Reworking bad data from 2009. Old polygons were from digitized maps and poorly aligned. More recent data is now available which is replacing old one polygon at a time after review. I'm lobbying our local community to remove all these massgis: tags that came with the import.

It looks like this is a data import, that even covers a large bounding box. If this is an import done with discussion, this is okay, but it must be reverted, as the data imported may be mostly inserted outside the supposed bounds. I do not know whether SomeoneElse will interfere, any time later.
22017-06-14 10:13Alan Bragg Sorry, this wasn't an import. I made a number of local changes then did a couple map roulette fixes and they probably got caught up in the same changeset. That accounts for the wide distribution.
32017-06-14 10:25TagaSanPedroAko

The changeset has MassGIS data marked as source and that makes this look like an import. That makes this problematic, but wait for SomeoneElse for comment. The changeset may be reverted any time, but I don't know what to do about those local changes or MapRoulette edits.
42017-06-14 14:19Alan Bragg I can understand how the comments are confusing. In Massachusetts did have an import of land boundaries many years ago. Problem is that they were all skewed. We use newer imagery to re-align them.
