when adding a lift gate please make sure you update the access on connected roads. Also never use maxar imagery in Poland - Its misaligned, outdated and has low resolution. Use "Geoportal 2: Wysokiej rozdzielczości ortofotomapa (zdjęcia lotnicze)" instead

Hello, if this is residential, what is the street name? (Looks like it should be a part of Kusého, but can't tell without OTG survey)

Also, if you have been there physically, could you provide the surface? Possibly it's asphalt, but again, hard to tell from ortophoto.

Btw for ...

Also, is there a reason you're toggling this specific way back and forth between residential and unclassified?

3 ~ 5 years agoBolt006 Hi Piskvor,

Thank you for investigating. While I was panning around the area, this particular way (way 23607953) seemed to be incorrectly labeled as unclassified. Hence, I changed the classification to ‘residential’ for consistency in the data. Regarding the surface tag, it wasn&rsquo...

Ah, okay, thanks for the clarification, I thought you were changing it from local survey. There's indeed no requirement for name (or surface): I thought you saw the location OTG, and that you might have that info; never mind then :)

As for the Prague ortophoto, try the alternate link - http:...

Hello Bolt006,

If you're updating OSM on behalf of https://bolt.eu/en/ , I'd expect Bolt to be following:

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines

which would mean that for any project that you work on an entry is created at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w...
2 ~ 5 years agoBolt006 Hi team, apologies for the confusion. We have updated all our profiles with the description following the guidelines and would ensure the descriptions are uniform going forward.

Excellent - thanks.

I see only very few updated profiles. Of the 23 currently created the following still show no link: Bolt0004, Bolt0007, Bolt0012, Bolt0013, Bolt0014, Bolt0015, Bolt0016, Bolt0022 and Bolt0023. So it's to bold to say all, 9 out of 23 are not. Regarding to your Organised Editing Guidelines you ...

@Bert Araali - where are you seeing e.g. "Bolt0023"? What userid at OSM do you think they have, because I don't think that https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Bolt0023 currently exists.
Best Regards,
Andy

Sorry Andy, I was a bit sloppy, the numbers consists of 3 numbers, so it's Bolt004, Bolt007, Bolt012, Bolt013, Bolt014, Bolt015, Bolt016, Bolt022 and Bolt023. They are listed on their Organised Edit wiki page. I didn't search if there are more, just checked those. Sorry for the confusion...

To be fair - those new users were added 2 days ago and haven't mapped anything yet!

Yep, except Bolt004. So what does this mean ? That after providing the requested links 3 days ago now the group is growing rapidly disregarding... ? How big is this going to grow. Who creates these accounts ? Is there a problem adding the information when the accounts are created ?

♦13,725
Re " Who creates these accounts" I did suggest over at https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/97949485 that it might be good for users' profiles to link to both "what Bolt is" as well as "what organised activities they are involved in". The answer to the first qu...

@Bert Normally we'd expect organisations performing organised edits to get in touch with the local community via e.g. a local mailing list, but there isn't anything country-wide listed at https://openstreetmap.community/ . Is there communication mechanism that will reach the OSM community...

I was reading all of that carefully Andy. But do you find that sufficient? Are they affiliated with other interests or just a group of local enthusiasts ? Also to be fair - the changes they have done so far (most about 4 months ago) seem to be of good quality and so far don't violate our local ...

We have WikiProject Uganda. On all related pages all the contacts and contact channels are listed. We also have talk-ug. We have the user pages per country... . I agree communication to the broader OSM community, outside of HOTOSM, has been problematic, but they are there. Let me take a look at t...

Hi Bert,

Thanks for your questions.

We have asked for contacts of local community in OSM Africa Telegram channel and as a result got in touch with folks from https://mapuganda.org before starting the editing process.

Great, well done. It's always good to provide a copy of those communications in the talk group (https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-africa), they also exist for other countries (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mailing_lists). Telegram is not OSM's preferred communication chan...

Hi. This changeset changed an accurately mapped short section of single carriageway into a 'physically separated dual carriageway' as a supposedly "necessary" change. In addition this messed up several bus route relations.
2 ~ 5 years agoBolt006
Hello MacLondon,

Thank you for letting me know. I have restored the relations and will be more vigilant going forward.
