Another user reported missing bus stop (missing on the ground)

This changeset was so long ago, but it doesn't look like I added any bus stops in it, just added the refs.

Hello,
Are you sure that the "naptan:AtcoCode" on https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5784071207/history is correct? This appears to be in the museum; I'm guessing the code is for Didcot Parkway https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/6605149662 .
Best Regards,
Andy
22025-05-09 12:39CjMalone I can't see 910GDIDCOTP in the current official data. I don't think

https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/6605149662#map=19/51.611220/-1.242517

I don't think that "shop=mobility" is correct here. That'd be a place where you _buy_ mobility scooters. Shopmobility places tend to be tagged differently, see https://github.com/SomeoneElseOSM/SomeoneElse-style/blob/master/style.lua#L8068 .
22024-04-10 09:10CjMalone I thought amenity=shopmobility was a copy paste error. There is currently 0 cases in OSM, feel free to move back to it, or something more usable. I have no local knowledge of this so don't know if it sells things.

I'm not sure how it happened, but quite a few of the ones added for York here were wrong. An example was https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2466092653/history , where that naptan code is actually for https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2527494752 , which you can verify via http://deps.at/?32900...
22024-02-07 21:44CjMalone I've repressed my Naptan memories! :P

If the errors are specific for York, I suspect their data in Naptan has/had issues. It's each local authorities responsibility to update Naptan, and I'm sure some are worse than others.

Taking a look at another website that shows Naptan data...
32024-02-07 21:45CjMalone Every case with more than 1 naptan:NaptanCode or naptan:AtcoCode is suspect. It was on my TODO list to check them, but I never got far.

Well making the names all the same shouldn't be an issue... I see some are office=tax_advisor but they are surely all providing the same service, and as the wiki says that value is more specific than accountant which seems to cover everything they do (i.e. not just tax).
42023-11-22 16:49CjMalone It was an issue because a mapper felt strongly that there local shop had a different name to the rest. So I just avoid that drama.

NSI and iD will normalise the name and category overtime, or now I've added `brand:wikidata` someone can do it easily.

Hello,
I guess you misspelled the value for semi-detached houses. It should read building=semidetached_house.
See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:building%3Dsemidetached_house

Hi, this is a residential area. It seems unlikely that there is a verifiable business here.
If I was a neighbour I would be very cross indeed if my quiet close was full of customers cars.
These businesses tend to be phone/internet and do not belong in OSM.

Cheers Phil
22020-07-02 22:53CjMalone The website given describes this as a "boutique studio", that sounds like customers come here. So I would argue it does belong in OSM.
It's probably more of a living room type situation, and only open by appointment, but that is pure speculation I don't have a source for that.

The key to adding things to OSM is that they are verifiable. I seriously doubt that there is a sign that someone passing would see.

Hi, when adding details to an object they should refer to that object rather than the brand.

For example you have added facebook and twitter details for ASDA when the local object has both and these should be used.

Also whilst adding these details wouldn't a phone number be more useful?

22020-04-24 20:31CjMalone Hello,

I have been adding accurate website tags to Asda, replacing generic links, and no links, to branch specific ones.

Sorry, if I removed more accurate social media tags for generic brand tags, that wasn't my intention. tbh I didn't even know each store had it's own social me...
32020-04-24 20:48CjMalone I do want to start a discussion about importing phone numbers, and opening times though.

Technology wise it's easy, once I've finished manually matching stores to the website.
