Hi, was it intentional to remove natural=heath from https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/400515190 ?

Seems strange that this way should be left with no tags.

I noticed this too, and with no response , and the mapper doing nothing for 3 years, have added the heath tag back in and moved the boundary to where its looks correct.

Hi,

What do building:levels=-0.5 and roof:levels=0.8 represent?

Not sure how it happened, but I suspect that https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/725365453 was just someone trolling someone else. I've re-added it as https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/746786370 , is that OK?
Best Regards,
Andy

32019-06-13 07:35DHP11 CDW Hi Phil;

Apologies - you asked me what TIDBO meant, not what it has to do with OSM.

Thank you.
However you should have something on your profile that explains what you are doing and links to your wiki page. As do Amazon, Kaart, Mapbox etc.
At the point of asking the first question I had no idea your edits fell within the organised editing policy.
Cheers Phil

Hi, I've amended several building part outlines that had self intersections. I made them into two part multipolygons. This now properly shows the areas without self intersection of any lines. This method avoids self intersection which is an incorrect method.

These terrace blocks are drawn incorrectly, they do not properly reflect the building footprint. Way: 685612268 does not show that each house has a recess to the rear.

Further when drawn in this manner it is difficult to later terrace the block into individual houses so that addresses can be eas...

Hi, it looks like your use of the level tag is somewhat astray. The level tag is used to show a particular level with regard to other levels, it is not a tag with which to define height or relevant height. Please see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:building:levels

Hello Chris - marking a building is complete with an enclosing polygon. A rectangle for instance. Please explain the benefits of the double enclosing we see here. If you plan to enhance its visibility in the map, ist surely the wrong way. In this case please reduce the building to its outline.

Still needs a proper comment "Adding building heights" would be something close to acceptable.

If it's metres you don't add m - only if not.

If you're mapping for commercial purposes as part of your job you need to show that on your Osm user page with contact email etc

Er, that's 200m taller than the Shard, and would make this the tallest building in the UK by quite some margin.

What does osm1 mean / as a useful change set comment? Why are building levels fractional - most houses here are two storey.

Hey Chris Walden,
I think you should not try to facilitate too much height estimation into building:levels. Building:levels as a key is a very simple method and trying to cut it down to decimals is somewhat not quite \tmeaningful. I have seen you add 0.6 values for buildings. Which basically means ...
