Hey DaCor,

Try to describe changes, please. I.e.
'Corrected tagging for pharmacy'
tells other mappers more than 'fix'.

Also, I would recommend checking your changes with the official website for each POI and dis...

Two Homesavers shops together?
22024-01-29 19:28DaCor Yeah, one is household and garden type bits, other has mostly food
32024-01-29 19:29DaCor No difference in the names or signage so no way to differentiate them

Hi,

Lots of untagged lines in this change set e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/769646980
22023-06-08 19:02DaCor The farmland relation is broken somewhere. It's a nightmare to resolve using iD.

Centra shop merged with highway=crossing. Any idea where Centra should be?
22023-03-14 18:36DaCor Jaysus did I merge that? I can't recall the exact building that Centra is in. I'll have to check it next time I'm in town. I'll add a note

Over time the pattern I have detected is that errors in mapping are proportionate to the amount of mapping my the contributor. :)

Is this polygon inside out? https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/11700324 It certainly seems to be here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?node=4557475810#map=18/53.31411/-8.86305
22021-12-21 16:42DaCor I can't see any issue with this. Maybe I'm missing something very obvious here but I can't see a problem. Can you give me more details to the issue

It's OK. What was happening was that only some of the perimeter ways
(161 total) were loading and ID was incorrectly rendering inside as outside.

Is this whole estate Stone Quarter? or is it broken up into two? (Reilean & Stone Quarter) If so where is the divide?
22021-12-07 21:38DaCor Nope, its a mistake. I was tagging another estate in Athlone

This was done the same day, I must have had it in my clipboard and didnt notice. I'll fix it now, cheers for catching it

The link there shows that the "Centre for the Visually impaired" site has been subdivided and on the south and east there is a large new residential development. I had to chop it based on what I could see, but because of node pile ups the landuse is out a little. I'm going to fix the ...

"Update to remove makey-upey names added to routes" - these are bona fide names that were applied to the roads before the M18 was joined up.
22020-09-05 01:27DaCor These names were removed as they were applied several years after the M17/M18 opened and they were only referred by those names during construction. Once opened the ref numbers became the naming scheme. Hope that clears it up

Carrowntomush and Ardcloon townland boundaries as shown, are incorrect. Carrowntomush eastern boundary is drawn too large. Ardcloon northern boundary ia drawn too small, it's western boundary extends further north to the south of Cloonfane townland.
22016-07-04 08:54DaCor It's entirely possible I traced it incorrectly. I will review and come back to you with an update. Thanks for highlighting

Very good. Also, may I suggest updating the townland boundary of Lurgan townland, in Addergoole civil parish, located immediately south of Carrowntootagh and Cloonagh townlands. There are in fact two Lurgan townlands, each bordering one another, back to back, west to east. Lurgan 'west'...

Apologies, my last explanation was misleading. Here is what is should have read: Lurgan 'WEST', is part of Addergoole civil parish and Lurgan 'EAST' belongs to Dunmore civil parish. The boundary of each begins at the SOUTHEASTERN corner of Carrowntootagh, extending south.

Some of these infos were perfectly adequate for OSM, so added them back. While at it, tweaked the geometry.

The tags also said that the street name is "new Dock Road", but that street doesn't seem to exist nearby. Is it the english name of "Bóthar na Long" maybe ? ...

Also, is Ce na Mara a different feature completely, or part of the hotel ?
32015-06-11 17:43DaCor Cé Na Mara is an apartment block. I haven't done a detailed survey so I cant be certain about where they overlap if they do at all

Cé na Mara is the adjoining Apratment block.Separate to the Harbour Hotel.

New Docks is the area just beside the hotel and we would always have referred to the street outside as New Dock Road.
I can see from Google Maps that that is referred to as Bóthar na nDuganna, which is the...
