Hello! https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1408168157/history has access:foot = yes that was added in this edit (if I checked things correctly)
Would using foot access tag (see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:foot ) be fitting at least equally well?

Usage statistics are sometimes wrong an...

Hello! https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/5979434641/history has access:bicycle that was added in this edit (if I checked things correctly)
Would using bicycle access tag (see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:bicycle ) be fitting at least equally well?
2 ~ 2 years agoRM87 Honestly do not remember which sign there was(if any), that made me tag it this way. For me it feelsa bit more logical to use access:bicycle on gates and bycycle=designared/yes/... on roads. But looking at tagging both are in use.

Hi, parking lots are ignored by routers. The new bridge is not connected from the West to the road network and apps used for bicycle and pedestrian routing won't use it. Please connect it to the other roads.

Hi!
You mapped a few ways with highway=sidewalk here. The normal tagging would be highway=footway + footway=sidewalk, but I think there is no need to map those sidewalks with separate ways. You can use the sidewalk tag, see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:sidewalk

Miks nii? Erinevalt varasematest ja teistest valdadest puudub praegu kaardil selle valla välispiir. Rolli "subarea" kasutamine pole vist üleüldse kuigi hea praktika, vt https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:boundary#Relation_members
2 ~ 8 years agoRM87 Meililistist läbikäinud mõtte peale tekkis lootus, et äkki saab asju teha inimlikult ja lihtsalt. Küll aga paistab, et piiride kohapealt on tööriistad ja mõtted wikis pidama jäänud 8 aasta tagusesse aega kus niimõnigi riigipiir sisaldas v...

Hi there!
I've removed the tag highway=""
from a building. Any idea
what you intended to map with it?

2 ~ 10 years agoRM87 Hi, it was somekind of strange copy-paste error. Thanks for noticing!

okay, thanks for the feedback. I think
that the editor (Merkaartor) should not allow
an empty tag, maybe you can contact the developer to fix this?
4 ~ 10 years agoRM87 This is already on the buglist but the development of Merkaartor has been very slow in the last years.

OK, thanks for the info. It doesn't happen often, so I guess the problem is not big.

Are you sure that the surface on http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/314569029 is asphalt rather than dirt (which was presumably what the original mapper was trying to say)? I'm not convinced that you can always tell surface type from an aerial picture - in this situation surely the best solution...
2 ~ 11 years agoRM87 In this case I am fairly certain that this part is paved by now. At least I have not seen a centerline painted on a dirt. In some places the asphalt seems quite new also. So even if the imagery is some years old, there should be no need to upgrade (temporarily remove) the asphalt in the next 5 or s...

Are you sure that the imagery matches the current situation? It was only edited a month ago. One bad winter was enough to virtually destroy http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/99553670 near me, for example.
4 ~ 11 years agoRM87 Just in case asked from the last editor what surface=dirt ment. It came out that he only splitted the ways to add tunnels. The surface tag was added 4 years ago.

Hehe - so situation normal in the US (struggling to find a local mapper)!
