It's reasonably clear where that is from Bing aerial imagery and the Land Registry polygons. That should remove the tedious interference with the building polygon.I have ... |
2 | 2023-07-23 19:56 | TomH | Personally I generally prefer to keep business tags on the building. I'm not sure how accurate the building location is now - it doesn't match the bing imagery but that might be the imagery.

If there is a way around this then I agree it looks cleaner to be merged but when accessing the data through API its better to be a node. I've had discussions with other editors and ... |
2 | 2023-07-22 10:02 | TomH | Firstly that's completely untrue as overpass is perfectly capable of searching for ways and secondly we don't downgrade our data just to help some third party tool - we fix the tool instead!
3 | 2023-07-22 10:04 | TomH | Here is overpass finding ways for amenity=pub just fine: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1xPL
4 | 2023-07-22 10:18 | OHirschfield ♦5 | Hi Tom. I only speak from it being told to me from other more experienced editors. Now that you have provided a way around it I will agree they should be merged. Thank you. Although both are listed on the Wiki as acceptable, a preference should be outlined for consistency when adding these in the fu...
5 | 2023-07-22 10:22 | TomH | I've remerged them now

2 | 2023-06-07 09:04 | TomH | I was in correspondence with the owner who was complaining that search wasn't finding him which seems a bit at odds with the idea of it being private, as does the whole leisure=park thing...It would probably be better if somebody local could investigate what the real story is on the ground ...
3 | 2023-06-07 09:17 | rskedgell ♦1,469 | Thanks. I just commented on their most recent changeset to suggest that place=farm might be better than leisure=park. They're private, but they probably still want deliveries etc., so I can see why they want a searchable POI.It probably doesn't help them that TN14 7SF was only assig...
4 | 2023-06-07 09:23 | TomH | Yes that was what started it - them complaining to Royal Mail and RM telling them to complain to map operators about not updating with new post codes.
5 | 2023-06-07 20:21 | Sky Farm ♦2 | Dear All, we are a live farm, with deliveries, and people attempting to find us. We purchased a customised postcode from the Royal Mail and we are now trying to update the mapping system. If somone can help us replace the tag: park (placed by mistake) with the tag: Farm, we would be very grateful. ...

2 | 2019-04-10 08:04 | TomH | No idea how that happened - it was originally just layer. I've change it back now. It's a bit bogus really - it was done because a road goes through the building (or more likely under a canopy) which I would probably have done with -1 on the road but it doesn't really matter. |
