The name change from Rocky Fork Road to Newsome Lane was incorrect. The name of the street is Rocky Fork Road, not Newsome Lane.
2 ~ 4 years agoamarajz Hi,

Thank you for reviewing my changeset and correcting the road name.
Apologies for the incorrect road name that was added.
I will be extra cautious going forward. Happy to learn from you!

Hi. I went ahead and reverted your changeset. This road should not have been deleted. Instead it should have been demoted from highway=residential to highway=track.

Where did you get the source that this road is paved?

You were messing with the map. I'm local.

Hi, why were these streets set to private? There are no gates shown on Bing Street view. There is a "private subdivision" sign, but the sign does not say "private, keep out". Most subdivisions could be described as private.
2 ~ 4 years agoamarajz Hi,

There is a gate at other end, https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/6536980167 and a private community sign board at John Dodd Road intersection. Considering these facts, combined with our driver feedback we have made roads as private. Please let us know otherwise, we will make changes accordin...

Leaving the parking lot connects to oneway roads; why the turn restriction as it is the only valid choice?

Why would those road spurs deserve the tag highway=proposed? That particular road was built nearly 20 years ago. The highway=proposed k/v pair is supposed to be used for roads that have been platted, but where construction has yet to start.
2 ~ 5 years agoamarajz Hi,

Since the roads are incomplete and causing ""unreachable"" and ""no outlet"" errors on OSM, I have converted them into proposed for the mean while. Please suggest us if there is any other tag that will resolve these issues and we will incorporate the sa...

I removed the private access tag on the street. According to the county, this is a public road. If I'm wrong please let me know and I can revert my change.

2 ~ 6 years agoamarajz Hi,
Thanks for correcting, I've added the tag because of the private road sign being present on the street view (https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=47.408922~-121.957603&lvl=17&dir=106.933&style=x&v=2&sV=1). As you may have local knowledge, I assume your edit to be true.
Thanks...

Private road shown on street signs just indicate that no local government is responsible for it's upkeep. They are usually added by the developer.
4 ~ 6 years agoamarajz Hi,
Thanks for the knowledge. I shall consider these boards before adding private tags to the roads.

single overlapping node in https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/705940962 at an intersection, i have merged it. also an older edit.

hi ganesh,

this seems to be some obscure logic bug in iD, infrequent, and not a mapper issue. i do not know if iD highlights overlapping nodes in an obvious way as Potlatch2, or the throbbing pulsating angry red pustule of potlatch1.

in any case, as i repair more, including some non-amazon ed...

hi again,

this is a very strange edit, so i am leaving it as-is for analysis.

i did not expect to find six nodes co-located on the highway. usually now i expect to see iD is reluctant to re-use an existing node when branching, on occasion.

these are the first five listed below until the ga...
