In iD editor, you can use the keyboard shortcut "q" to square the corners of a building or way after once it is closed.

Hi, Thanks for the edits. In the future, please keep the geographic extent of your changesets to a reasonable size, such as the size of a small city. This changeset spans much of the continental US.

Hi, you tagged this as a track road, however, it looks like there are houses on this road, therefore it should probably be highway=residential with the appropriate surface tags for unpaved roads.
2 ~ 4 years agopayelgh Hi,
I have changed the small part of the road to track as there are no permanent buildings on either side of that strip and also based on driver feedback which says road is a track road leading into woods.
Kindly, let me know if there are any further concerns or suggestions regarding this edit.\...

Who told you to modify them to track road? It is a serious problem to mess with the map.

I find this change unlikely. While it's common in certain areas for street signs to omit the name's suffix, TIGER, USPS, and Allegheny County GIS are all in agreement that the street's proper name includes the suffix here. I've added it back.
2 ~ 4 years agopayelgh Hi,

Thank you for providing the information and correcting the edit.
I've edited the suffix of the Road name based on Driver feedback and streetsign imagery available on OSM.
But going forward I'll keep the learning and add suffix as per Tiger data.

Hi there. If the Bing images are accurate and this isn't a parking lot anymore it might be worth deleting it altogether and mapping the building that's there now. Otherwise, someone will probably just come along and re-map the parking aisles. Plus, its more accurate that way.

Thanks
2 ~ 6 years agopayelgh Hi Adamant1,

Thanks for your comment. Apologies for the delay in response. As per your suggestion, I've deleted the entire data in the area and mapped it to the current building under changeset#80849482

Looking forward to learning from you.

Hello! A restriction relation must have three roles (from (one way) to (one way), via (usually one node, but can also be different ways). See https://www.osm.org/relation/4065417

Hello! Please check the restriction relation https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/10047874. Role are missing.
2 ~ 6 years agopayelgh Hi,

Apologies for the delay caused in responding. I missed to delete the turn restriction while splitting the road, I'll ensure to avoid such errors in my future edits. I see the same has been fixed under Changeset #78872434.

Hi, Why were these turn restrictions added? I don't see any concrete divider.
2 ~ 6 years agopayelgh Hi MikeN,

I added the restriction based on the pair of double solid line which is a legal/painted median. If this is not a valid call, please let us know your suggestion. Eager to learn from you.

Hi, South Carolina is different from some other states and Double Yellow lines here only indicate divided traffic flow and passing is not allowed. They are not prohibited to cross when turning.
4 ~ 6 years agopayelgh Hi MikeN,

Thanks for your update. I have reverted the Restriction – Chageset # - “ 73844746“. I will also pass on this input to my team regarding adding restrictions in South Carolina based on double solid yellow lines. Please let us know any other suggestions you have.

Hi payelgh -- any particular reason for adding this node and bending Eastern Parkway? Is there a new road geometry that's not indicated by aerial imagery?
2 ~ 6 years agoyaswap

Hi,

Thanks for looking into the edit. The editor added turn-restriction which was the main edit. The node might have got added/modified mistakenly while dragging the map. We will take care of these kind of edits and make sure of not changing the alignment of the existing road segments going forw...

Thanks yaswap. Consider in the future using a more descriptive changeset comment so we know what the intent is. In this case, something like "Add turn restrictions at intersections of Utica Ave with Eastern Parkway and Eastern Parkway service roads."

Also please add a "source"...

What is going on, you added and road and then later delete is?
2 ~ 6 years agopayelgh Hi,

Thanks for looking into the changeset. Same like the previous changeset (https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/62231993) Due to some miscommunication I deleted the road segments that were created. Going forward we will make sure that these kind of errors won’t occur.

Hello! The access tagging and oneway tagging were inconsistent in this lot after this changeset, which can create issues for routing engines.

Can I ask what your source for this edit was. It's been a while since I've been to this post office, but I'm pretty sure you can't drive behind it. Also I don't think it's parking lot connects to the stores facing Cresent Ave.
