I wonder why the ways tagged highway=steps includes a tag ramp=yes and ramp:bicycle=yes. There is no ramp built or properly designed for the purpose of climbing a bicycle. I live next to the park and I frequently ride my bikes. The Government Hill location does have ramps and footways that facilitat...
2 ~ 3 months agosjwhitak I trust you more than what I did, if you could fix it, that would be nice! I was just wandering around with StreetComplete. I saw a flat part on the side of the steps, and so I assumed it was for bikes, but maybe it's just an aesthetic thing.

Hi, no worries at all — this kind of thing happens to all of us 🙂
That’s one of the nice things about OSM: we map with the best information we have at the moment, and then others can review, improve, or correct it later.

I read that StreetComplete makes it very easy to assume thin...

1 ~ 7 months agosjwhitak Looking west-to-east, the trail terminates at the end of Railroad Street and is paved a portion of the way forward. Rhode Island Spring imagery shows the asphalt connect to railroad st.

1 ~ 8 months agosjwhitak That being said, you really can keep walking because these are side roads and most people simply walk on the grass or road, but I don't believe that's what we want mapped. So, I'm not entirely sure if noexit=yes is valid since you can keep walking on the street after the sidewalk ends...

1 ~ 9 months agosjwhitak Please revert this. I accidentally edited a bunch of extra things that I didn't mean to.
2 ~ 9 months agosjwhitak I have added houses in here, but it's fine to delete those. It was maybe 10 minutes of work; it'll be super tedious to un-edit the other ones.

1 ~ 1 year agosjwhitak If this is too big an edit, I have no problem with you reverting this and asking me to drop it to smaller chunks. I downloaded the region I was editing, searched for building=yes, then removed places that didn't look like houses (or were outside the residential regions) and then set building=ho...

1 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak What I mean by "I don't know the shapes" is that when I walked down this street, all the buildings were flush to the sidewalk, so when I saw the roofs on aerial imagery, I was really confused on actually mapping it out. I plan on updating it later when I go back to Newport and scout i...

1 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak Sorry, I don't know what I edited in Delaware? I was just mapping houses in Rhode Island.

It seems like a Dollar Tree point node 11711568387.
3 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak I've never been to Delaware before, I don't know how this happened, sorry.

1 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak If I get confirmation that these are good, I will complete the remaining routes from RIPTA. I will make sure I verify no double-counted bus stops with GO-Sync more thoroughly next time. Changeset 145234379 found 2 bus routes that overlapped.

1 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak This was an attempt to adding my bus stop. I plan to add the remaining bus stops after I understand that the point is correct.

1 ~ 2 years agosjwhitak For example, the RIPTA GTFS contains route_ref, but I see on https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Buses that it prefers the tag "ref", but https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:ref shows ref has multiple options. I've tried asking for help on #osm but I guess this works too. I just d...
